Parker has stated that pilots should not be paid by equipment size, same pay for all airplanes. After the ALPA receivership and Nicolau award, there will be at least a majority of pilots who would agree to this because it will allow them the best pay in the future. An eastern West base? Does anything prevent the company from opening a new West base somewhere?
If not, are there any restrictions on where new West bases can be (i.e., only west of the Mississippi or something)?
If not, can't they open a new "PHL-West" base and staff it with West crews?
