OK--here's one---how sick is everyone of someone from AFA-CWA calling and leaving "who we've endorsed" messages on their answering machine?? I have not made up my mind who to vote for yet, however, I get messages at least once a week (last week three times) from AWA-CWA endorsing Obama and want to know how it can STOP.

I don't need my union telling me how to vote--Thank you very much.

I want to know how being a union member made it OK for them to call me at home---sometimes at 8 am on a Saturday morning.......obviously the "no call" registration means nothing to them.

Anyone else feel this way?????

You must be special because I haven't gotten any calls from AFA-CWA. Why is calling their members necessary they have put it out in e-lines as well as posted their endorsement on the AFA boards in the crew rooms.

Songbird,
I am with ya!
My union advocates "democratic" for belief they are more labor friendly. Thats a factor for sure, but imo there are other factors equally as important and not all about ME.
The WORD says HE appoints (allows) leaders so I don't get all excited about candidates on either side.
I do think either wll be way better than George Bush!

I don't get any calls.

New update from the JNC.

www.afausairways.org
After reading the update I wonder what anybody from the West thinks about PBS?

Being from the East I feel comfortable with "one big SAP".

What "Jungle Rules"are and how they work, I'm guessing, are like ETB.

Thoughts and clarifications would be appreciated.

Thanks

Local CLT Meeting Oct 30th...
Let your voice be heard at that meeting...
And for gods sake... Show up....
You do have a voice in what the union does... Use it...

Just my opinion...

Yes little miss....
I am planning on attending...
THEN... I will catch my commuting flight back to PIT... Thanks for thinkin about me though...

The more important question here is.... ARE YOU GOING????....

The board has gotten incredibly boring . I think that even if they posed the right question there is little change with the lives of all employees. The reserves are abused but cant shoot straight because it takes too much to get involved. I hope for all of pur employees that you are able to live for another day.The blocks are pitiful its a squeeze play more days for less pay.

Talking to a union involved person (not an elected official) their impression of talks was that it would be another 6 to 9 months until an agreement would be reached but in the same breath said that we would have to wait for the front end.

How is this possible? It would be great to reach an agreement but is it possible w/o the pilots?

A second question is: do the west and east vote to accept the agreement on an equal basis or is it a majority vote of all members?
