No, a 7 year westoff getting the left seat before a 22 year Eastie is a windfall.


Gee, that's strange. I wonder how long it took an AWA guy to upgrade before the merger? Let's see...Ah, here it is...looks like it took 7 years.

I wonder how long it took an AAA guy to upgrade before the merg...wait a minute, would ya look at that! it took 22 years. Well how bout that, looks like that merger policy worked after all. 🙄

Ok then. you take your upgrades out west and we will take ours out east. If the list was in effect the 22 east guy would never upgrade. I guess the merger policy didnt work after all.
 
$96/hr is what 42 new Captains will earn flying the E190 when the latest bid closes. The other 44 Captain vacancies on other fleet types will most likely not be new Captain's at all but just a realignment of the current Captain's to different bases.

Wrong, 44 New Captain positions. Makes you kind of pi$$ed doesnt it. Doesnt really matter does it since none of you guys are going to come East anyways.
 
Got news for you - we had 7 year captains while you had 15-year furloughees. Not our fault, and not something we should pay for according to your plan or superior morality.

And now you want us to fall on the sword for you. You want our upgrades and you know it. You guys will never cash in so get use to it.

How do you know? You think everyone here is salivating to commute clear across country for a slight increase in pay?? Not me. I'm trying to take anyone's upgrade over there, I just don't want mine indefinitely delayed over here. I will say that the growth that has been created by this wonderful marriage should be equally shared for WHOEVER wants to fly out of PHL, CLT and yes, even PHX and LAS. We were part of the merger, we should be part of the growth. That last part is mostly directed to that P51Mustang dude.

Put the list together DOH, with protections for PHX and LAS and future upgrade conditions. If you want go East, get in line based on DOH and bid what it holds. You will go in front of people who were hired after you and fall in behind people hired before you and have the opportunity for China or wherever else your heart desires, provided you can hold it. Pretty simple.
 
It must be true then....as were your prescient earlier observations that're now such good fun to observe: "You won't even get 200 cards!!"...or my personal favorite: "A little bird told me that you are several hundred cards short"..then there's the various famous bit's about "Go ahead and file then..I dare you!!" Without fretting over a host of other erudite and dead on the mark predictions of yours....I'll merely note that you're material's suitable for much chuckling 😉 If you've no copyright objection issues..I think I'll add "Falling apart? It was never a plan to begin with!" to that august collection of material, of which but an insignificant amount's noted in the above.

My money is on the NMB to make the right decision and find that you don't have enough VALID cards but I am ready for you to blame us for that too...

No, he wasn't fine, and that's EXACTLY why AWAPA never even had close to enough cards to go anywhere. Even the TWA guys we were hiring at the time, all of whom were itching to stick it to ALPA, never turned in a card. But hey - AWAPA got what they paid for (nothing). USAPA is having to pay for it LOL.

1) Umm..sure...if you say so. There's never been an apparent lack of "Little Birds" speaking to folks out west it seems, and those birds seem to chirp only what you wish to hear and believe, aka : "You won't even get 200 cards!"/etc. Now? it's just variations on "Umm..well..what we really meant is nobody will actually vote for dumping Alpo"....Whatever gets you through the day I guess :blink:

2) My personal levels of hypocrisy don't extend to wanting ANYTHING from the west by way of seats, upgrades, or "seniority". I've no wishes for any of you to suffer lesser pay rates so that any east pilot can "Get mine". I don't offer battle cries of "Then you can live on LOA93 forvever!" or wish you guys ANY ill, nor do I justify any/all of my beliefs or behaviors on some Alpoid "process" or arbitrator's whim.....so yeah..I'm quite comfortable with using the term "moral".

3) You can't have it both ways. Either A) Your curent MEC chairman's actually a moron (which I doubt) who poorly selected that fellow for AWAPA's counsel, and has only lately found great wisdom through complete immersion in Alpo, or B, You're grasping at the tiniest of twisted straws in feeble attempts at advancing irrational positions. You make much of the apparent signifigance of TWA folks having "never turned in a card" as being noteworthy on one hand, ...while presenting the implicit argument that turning in oceans of cards actually means nothing on the east....At least one of us is definately "confused" here. :blink:

You've gallantly left out the parts where secret societies of anti-Alpo people skulked through the late night kidnapping family pets and children as hostages to make sure that enough signed their cards...which was tough, but necessary, since so many were/are truly and secretly in love with both Alpo and Nic......sheesh! 😉

Doing just what you are talking about is called "MAIL FRAUD". Are you accusing anyone in USAPA of doing that? I can assure you that anyone who is DUMB enough to do that when the process requires the company to submit sample signatures is guaranteed certifiable and gets them a one way ticket to Levenworth for many years. GUARANTEED!

Your accusations of fraud is the reason we need to distance ourselves from the likes of your kind. I suppose next you'll be calling us baby killers. Are you accusing USAPA of going to the cockpits and "forcing" pilots to sign cards? Your accusations are dispicable and if they are anything indicative of the support you would give as a union member then you are a COWARD. The moderator allows your kind to hide behind the anonymity of the boards without any reprisal for what is defined as "debate".

Said fat cats ensure themselves to be well looked after, and that has zero to do with disposing of a worthless union, which has historically fed corporate fat cats whatever their whims required at the expense of working line pilots in any case.
 
ALPA says if they give the east a major increase in pay and quality of life enough might vote YES to ratify a joint contract.

U-SAPs says if they give the west the shafting of their careers, enough might vote YES to ratify a joint contract
