ALPA Thread 12/21 to 12/28 ALL ALPA/USAPA here

Let them bluster and threaten the entire merger process, the ALPA union, and listen to their USAPA lawyers (as they continue to rack up the billable hours….wow, that’s going to an expensive lesson!), and believe what they want.

Yeah! Just like they blustered and threatened the 3000+ cards to be sent to the NMB.

Ooops! That really happened, didn't it? Maybe the bluster is really coming from the other side?

If you understood the profession you would be surprised at what you would agree with. Just the fact that you call yourself "JetMonkey" gives great insight into what guys like Parker, Kirby, Ornstien and the rest have done to your psyche as well as what you think it is you do for a living.

It isn't about East pilots first. Or West pilots for that matter. It's about the profession as a whole. And you guys can't see past what even ALPA has done to the profession much less this Nic mess.

Put your backpack on and go to work. JetMonkey indeed.

So if your perceived failures of ALPA are so evident to the veteran eye, one has to ask "what took you so long to start USAPA"??? Why the late "enlightenment", years after foreiting your retirement, accepting industry-bottom pay and work rules, or after the destruction of the piloting profession by allowing MDA to fly even one flight? Yep, your transparancy is close to 100% bub.

Prechill;
What they (the vocal USAPA crowd) think of us or don’t think of us is immaterial. We will do what is needed to rid ourselves of this misguided attempt to derail ALPA and the Nicolau award and move on. Let them bluster and threaten the entire merger process, the ALPA union, and listen to their USAPA lawyers (as they continue to rack up the billable hours….wow, that’s going to an expensive lesson!), and believe what they want.

USAPA will derail itself, like any illegitimate organization founded through falsehoods, mistruths and selective standards of "fairness". They forfeit their privileges of inegrity and unity by virtue of their own creation. Like any third world dictatorship- this will fail miserably and unfortunately this will come at the expense of people nearing retirement that can least afford bankrolling attorneys on pay rates that are the lowest in the industry.

"When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares that it is his duty."
-George Bernard Shaw

I've elected to fly over Christmas in hopes that some abused reserve might get a slight break. As noble and honorable a creature as you are..I'm certain that you'll be doing the same for your junior "Brothers", so we might miss a few days of mutual admiration 😉

Now that is the SPIRIT of Christmas!
Thank You!

George Bernard Shaw was an ardent socialist and denounced the right of free citizens to own private land. It is no surprise that ALPOphiles would employ his errant ad hominem argument that he used to supplant even the possibility on an honorable cause.

Yeah. It will probably be history in very short order. Like, say, Cuba for example. Look how quickly the entire planet converged on Castro and got rid of him in only 48 years...and counting.

Dream on, you westies. A new day is dawning and, like the groundhog, you're itching to jump back into your hole.

Yeah, compare U-SAPs to a brutal dictatorship. But seriously, what has U-SAPs done to add credibility to their promise to lead effectively? I mean, they can probably do nothing and count on those certifiably insane to vote Yes, but what about the level-headed, those who demand more than rhetoric? What will convince them to cut off their nose to spite their face (and their wallet)?

And remember, no legitimate answer can contain "ALPA"or it's derivatives. Measure the Bradford debacle on it's own merits.

I would bet given the recent flap over sick calls that the reserves will be home comfortably, but that shouldn't diminish your charitable intentions.

Why not extend charity to those who need a pay raise and more time home with their families and push for full JNC participation and a contract to vote on? Why let the fear mongering of what might happen with the "flood of westies" condemn them to toil under LOA93 for many many more years? Why risk the loss of protections under the transistion agreement should U-SAPs win it's pyrrhic victory and be stuck in a perpetual cycle of lawsuits until the only attrition is that of money from the east pilot's bank accounts? Why allow Kirby2 to become a reality- a reality that would have to be fought simultaneously with the battle with the west? Why vulcanize the pilots attitudes through fear mongering to unattainable expectations of U-SAPs, such that they are blind to the realities that Nicolau, as written, will not materially affect them any more than their pre-bankruptcy condition?

The furloughees have made their career decisions. The F/O's have enjoyed, through the Prater-sponsored delay, upgrades and advancement equivalent to a 2-3 year fence under "normal" conditions. Now is the time to allow common sense to see the light of day and allow everyone else on the east and west to move forward in unity under an established bargaining agent. The number of people who feel they would benefit from U-SAPs stated strategy is rapidly shrinking, while the number who will suffer the collateral damage grows.

Give the gift that continues to give - scrap USAPA!

(Time out)

Happy Holidays everyone.

Because it isn't just about this merger, its about the next one too. Whether you like it or not the east and west will be better off with Allegheny/Mohawk protections vs ALPA protections, even if we never come to a combined agreement. (Separate ops do indeed protect both groups pre-merger "expectations") I know you've stagnated out West, but if it made sense for Phoenix or Vegas to grow you would grow now. i.e. Hawaii

yeah, fine, Shaw was a socialist. With your provincial mindset it is apparent you fail to realize stupidity knows no bounds, be it social, geographic, or in the east's case, chronologic.

Given a few minutes to kill in a hotel with internet access:

Yes..I can clearly see how placing the west people permanently on top of them would ensure vast amounts of great quality time at home with their families...makes perfect sense...and it's really big of you to note that "shouldn't diminish your charitable intentions", but I really don't give a rat's arse what you think anymore.

Better thought = Why not get your selfish/fear-driven/self-righteous arse up and fly so one of your juniors can have Christmas at home? That's called being "real"...consider the concept.

Kindly cease any attempts at tacking standard-issue westie BS onto a simply decent thought.

I fail to realize stupidity knows no bounds? When you post an ad hominem argument in response to being called out for quoting an ad hominem argument, are you attempting to help me identify that which "knows no bounds"? I think I almost have the concept. Perhaps you could do one more example.

Simply because I couldn't get the guys rallied.

The Nic list did it for me. Apparently seniority is where the BS stops.

Transparency huh? Can you see through the 3100 cards?
