Parker pulled MOU lastnite. That option is now over. He evidentily didnt want any negative publicity during merger negotiations, imagine that.... The usairways pilots will now have to accept whatever the APA throws our way.... Thank You BPR...

From the Poll thread...Looks like I was right earlier....Any one else with info?

Parker withdrew the MOU last evening. Not sure why or what that means, but apparently he is not happy with the BPR for putting their stamp of disapproval on it or maybe he is afraid of a "NO" vote and how it will look to the investors
Parker pulled the MOU. Thats over...

If so - good. We're back to where we were a month ago before this half baked MOU ever materialized.

There is no reason not to have pay parity with APA on day 1, or sharing in the other provisions of the Term Sheet. I would like to hear the excuse for denying it. Otherwise, labor uncertainty, which ostensibly management wishes to avoid, will be unavoidable.

Other provisions of our contract remain intact for now.

Transition Agreement next?

Well the compass correction boys are off the hook for the time being. Must be a relief.

.... This was one last gasp of charity from Parker (who hoped to get a little concensual relief on the minor sticking points of scope and CoC) .....

....... AND they aren't sure if and when Parker would be willing to resume negotiations on an MOU since the professional negotiators aren't really representing the pilots, so talking with them is a waste of time.

"This was one last gasp of charity from Parker.." Well....at least you do have a sizeable sense of humor. Seriously..."charity from Parker"? That is indeed a fine basis for laughter 😉 Heck...While we're taking this little ride in Fantasyland; let's go for an even better laugh by suggesting he's suddenly and honestly concerned with "the right thing to do" 😉 Gee!...and to think that all of this newlly discovered "charity" is just to get "a LITTLE" consenual relief on the oh-so-very-insignificant, teeny little issues of scope and coc. Said insignificant and "minor" concerns being hardly worth even mentioning of course....Words just fail me here.

"AND they aren't sure if and when Parker would be willing to resume negotiations on an MOU.." Really?...That's surprising. Ummm...what so quickly happened to all of Mr. Parker's freshly contrived "charity" then? 😉 Golly Gee Whiz Batman!...Could it even possibly be that it's just a blatant attempt to manipulate this employee group into rolling over for whatever management has planned in the merger through willingly surrendering whatever protections are contractually now available? I mean, gosh! It's sure pretty darn convenient that, knowing the non disclosure's to be instantly signed after putting this out, and thusly; an artifically constructed sense of urgency is brought into play....well....suffice it to say that I'm entirely unimpressed with any of this thus far.

What's far more sobering is that you have no tangible accomplishments of Mike Cleary to counter my argument. All that you have received was given to you.

The east has never been able to exchange bluster for dollars, or else you would be Warren Buffet.

So....whats with this "rumour" of Parker pulling the MOU?
So this is what failing to negotiate in good faith gets you. I hope enough folks in the APA like money as much as I do.

I'm probably too late to get to the head of the line on that volunteer list, though.

Ya gotta love the hard-core easties. Going from "Hummel better let us vote on the MOU" to "How dare they put this out for a vote" almost overnight...

Of course, the same group was absolutely sure that there'd be a better offer coming. Now even the MOU is off the table. Such is life in la-la land. The next disappointment is coming - "there's no reason not to have parity on day one". They scoff at the idea of Parker and "charity" but expect just that.

Huh?...I mean WHAT!!!??? Let me get this straight; moments ago Parker, (in your estimation at least}, was filled with newfound "charity", BUT, while apparently now deciding to whimsically reneg on this "charity"/mou....he's the one negotiating in "good faith", and not the pilot group....?...Who weren't even allowed to complete a vote on the damn thing? I see. Let me guess. His latest move is of course based on "the right thing to do" as well? 😉 Sigh! Points given here, as you never cease to amuse and amaze. Some people just couldn't be written into even children's comic books as believable characters! 😉

Spoken like a true ALPO scum, you are worse than meddling mother-in-law who has no business here and no purpose in life. Here's an idea go volunteer over at the Gastonia Civil Air Patrol those poor kids will think you're the hero you actually think you are.

Well with the MOU gone I bet now comes the blame game and the try to divide and conquer strategy routine we are all so familiar with.

Not only does this prove that DUI doesn't know how to negotiate in good faith, it shows he doesn't know what the H E Double hockey sticks he is doing... and he wants to run the largest airline in history?
