AUG/SEPT 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

How sad........And you guessed wrong about 84 hires. The ones I know upgraded in 1989 and never lost their captains seats or blocks for that matter. And they made far more in their careers than you have. Or a West 84 hire. By far.

When was the last time you did the math, sparky?

"And they laughed..." Those heartless bastiges! How could they do that to you!?? 😉

You really are the epitome of a greedy rusthead. You gain by DOH then cheer the dismantling of any C&R's designed to balance DOH as long as it helps you. You want to integrate seniority by first discarding seniority because it helps you. You talk about "experience" but really only mean time spent on the US seniority list regardless of how much of that time is spent on furlough, not real experience, because it helps you. Pilots like you are the downfall of all pilots - screwing their fellow pilots for a few seniority numbers. Those like you, 9-piece, Nosumclax, Phoenix, MM, nevergiveaninch, and others make me sick. I'm just glad I'm done having to deal with people like and instead of just starting out wondering which of those like you are going to stab me in the back to get what they want.

Then there's that one tidbit Ed dropped in the arbitration - "If those Piedmont boys will just be patient the growth will take care of them." Two years later 1/3 the pilots were furloughed...but maybe that's what he meant by "take care of them"...

The Piedmonitor [Winston-Salem, N.C.: November 1988]

"Parity details announced This past summer USAir announced that, effective on the date of the operational merger of Piedmont and USAir, all Piedmont and former Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) agents would be advanced to USAir wage parity. The announcement raised a number of questions which were recently answered in a teletype message to all Arbitrator issues seniority decision On November 3, 1988, arbitrator Sam Kagel released his decision regarding the merging of the pilot seniority lists of Piedmont and USAir, directing that the lists be integrated on a date-of-hire basis, with conditions designed to satisfy many of the concerns of Piedmont pilots. ALPA Master Executive Committee Chairman Capt. Don McGregor, in a wire to all Piedmont pilots, said, "All of our interests are now best served by working with our new colleagues to help make USAir the strongest and most successful carrier in the industry."

Jim,

Was above a typo as I sure missed the 1/3 list furlough in 1990?

I'm sure that you know what Einstein said about "doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results”...

You ever notice how often that quote and "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" are used by both sides of an argument?

I'd have to say that means we are all nuts and doomed! 🙂

Lawyers will advise you take the deal for two reasons: 1) They generally work within the framework provided by the company. Extrapolating any degree of success beyond those predefined parameters risks their credibility and economic reward -- with current and future clients. 2) They prudently recognize their flawed capacity to prevail as our advocate in any venue. In short, they play it safe, intolerent to risk of any kind.

BTW, should we gather a team and head over to the AMR thread? Isn't it time we smear them for the illegal safety job action? We should be screaming at them to take the deal, any deal. It's only going to get worse.

I wonder if old Doug has sent AMR Dr. Lee's phone number and forwarded them a copy of his paper where he says unhappy employees don't affect the bottom line?

I blame/thank(not sure which it is will all the hysteria) the PHX reps for the MOU issues. Doug is used to most AWA pilots being up his rear, so when they voted to not even send it out it threw him for a loop.

You really are the epitome of a greedy rusthead.

Try PSA, which was merged before your time....but don't ever let being completely and typically wrong stifle any righteous rants.

As for your piteous " I'm just glad I'm done having to deal with people like and instead of just starting out wondering which of those like you are going to stab me in the back to get what they want."...well...that coming from a gollum-like creature who's only apparent function is to strive mightily (with every single posting) to stab all of of it's former coworkers in the back does provde some morning mirth. Thanks for the chuckles. 😉

Tissue? 😉

You tell me...when was 2-1/2 years after November 1988, Einstein? The summer of 1991 maybe??? Do you even remember those furloughs...they started in Jan 1991.

Dummy...

Doug is used to most AWA pilots being up his rear, so when they voted to not even send it out it threw him for a loop.

Well....it's fairly observed that the only truly ardent cheerleaders for their first-name-basis "friend" do post from the west.

..or was being a greedy SOB ingrained at birth???

Why don't you tell us Gollum? Unlike yourself; I've always been in favor of actually respecting the work years and experience of others.

BBoy: "You learned well from the "real" US pilots..." Indeed. It was all part and parcel of the grand conspiracy against you. You really should consider the suggestion of some much needed therapy.

Unlike yourself; I've always been in favor of actually respecting the work years and experience of others.

I would guarantee that there were those easties junior to you that had more experience and years of flying than you...but when has that overcome your greed???

I would guarantee that there were those easties junior to you that had more experience and years of flying than you..

Not impossible but go ahead and name one.....? PSA wasn't my first rodeo either. As for "..your greed"; I'll leave any such charitable notions to those championing "relative" notions of seniority...like yourself. 😉

I may have guessed wrong about 84 hires but that doesn't clarify why you won't disclose your relative seniority. Now we're comparing paychecks? WTF cares? That has nothing to do with seniority integration. Next you'll be telling me how big your unit is.

There is no sense in having a discussion with an arrogant, entitled crybaby who will not disclose any facts and pukes out obtuse, irrelevant BS. You're wrong about our integration and you know it. Clinging to the hope that you can steal from the west is all you have and soon that will be taken away from you. Looking forward to watching you squirm.
