I love the "Arizona home values are in the toilet and PHX is closing"

My modest house went up 14% in the last month...Phoenix is on it's way up, while Filthydelphia is still a burned out husk....

OK, good for you. It went down 90% and then back up 14%. Nice.

Saw this in the Tempe HQ parking lot...

Hey guys, was wondering what your rate on the 757 was? And when you guys lost your pension, did you get the 45k /yr at age 65 or was it different? Oh, never mind. I forgot about the last one.

Why are you so scared of a 3 way arbitration? You may come out better as you have indicated that the east got too much.

I am not "scared of a 3 way arbitration".

However, it is definitely not what I would like to see happen for many reasons.

First, it would be challenged right from the get go. DFR ripe the instant usapa comes to the table using anything other than the Nic. The 9th found Addington "not ripe" because there were too many contingencies in place that could still keep usapa from using an alternate seniority scheme until a ratified contract. However, if usapa actually used an alternate seniority scheme prior to a contract, then case ripe.

Second, usapa is tasked with representing "all LCC pilots", and would have an inherent conflict of interest trying to promote the east over the West or vice versa.

Finally, and most important, a divided LCC group will do nothing but make us both losers in a 3 way SLI. The order of LCC pilots on a combined list would not change from the NIc, but, you can bet your bottom dollar we will all be much further down than had we come to the table with a unified front and a legitimate case for a "fair and equitable" integration.

to sum....the Nic ain't going away. If a merger happens and usapa tries to use anything other than the Nic it is probable that usapa would be removed from the process and all LCC pilots would suffer. Unless of course Silver rules that a union has a legitimate union objective in allowing the majority to override a binding arbitration that took place within its membership.

If I recall correctly,

It's no surprise that you don't. It's been my observational experience that people who view the world entirely through specially ground and perversely colored "It's ALL about MEEE!" lenses often suffer perceptual difficulties of the sort you have here.

If I recall correctly, the Angry First Officers of the East fired the first salvo with the "Seniority Matters" stickers/lanyards.

And the "Safety Matters-I'm on Board" lanyards led to an injuntion slapped on USAPA.

Now that is a joke on yourself.

Prior to that, there were DOH bumper stickers on flight bags.

The same rate that we negotiated for in C2004. Since we had a smaller B757 fleet, Airbus & B737's it seemed foolish to waste time, money and effort. Then ALPA screwed us and took it away magically!!

Sorry Boo Boo, never mind about the last last comment. Hangman's commin' down from the gallows........(apologies to STYX).

I wish to nominate you to represent the west in the unlikely event of a 3 way arbitration.

The Nic is the list, therefore I would refuse to do anything that would give you even the slightest chance of the do-over you so desperately want.

Again, how do you suppose that's going to work out for you?

Who won? Lawyers & the company.

1) I"ve no idea. Imo...one might as well throw dice, whip out a ouija board or toss tarot cards around as to put even the slightest faith in any arbitration.

2) No possible argument.

"childish obsession with T-shirts"? Be fair here. You guys printed them up "Integrity Matters", and even went so far as to put them front and center at a meeting with top company management...going so far as to have one of your mighty (but clearly flustered) "spartans" pass one to the company's president. It's entirely unreasonable to assume others wouldn't be amused by them. I mean seriously....a group of supposed adults proclaimg their fantasized, universal "Integrity" via T-shirts? Most (marginally mature, or even slightly sane for that matter) people couldn't have even made such infantile BS up as an intentional joke. If you don't much care for derisive laughter...don't make such jokes of yourselves.

I never saw these T-shirts, however, if they ever existed they would have been long forgotten if not for your extremely wierd need to regurgitate.

The rate on the 757 is the same as the 320...$142/hr..but you already knew that didn't you? When you add the extra pay coming from work rules and much more vacation it adds up to every single West pilot is making more than your 757 pilots and doing it with more days off.

Never had a defined benefits pension...but you knew that also...what we have is matching contributions to a defined contributions plan..and when you are putting away over 30K a year for 25 years...you end up taking home a lot more than 45k/year once you hit 65.

so, tell me....what did you do on your 5th vacation this year? did you stay home and take care of all the things you had been neglecting because you been working like a dog on LOA93?

924 got it right.

The east had their "seniority matters" lanyards..in the oh so fashionable cowardly yellow, well prior to any West bling.

You would know, four eyes.

I'm hardly surprised at your apparent embarrassment, which is refreshing (and extremely surprising) to ever see from any of your group, especially since west antics have certainly provided severe embarrassment to many.

"if they ever existed.." ? You clearly weren't an avid viewer of crew niews videos then, or you couldn't possibly have missed that particularly pathetic little circus.
