Oh my! I am laughing my @#& off! That was the funniest thing I have read on here in months! Good one! LOL!!!Oh, thank goodness. I thought it stood for bowel movement. 😳
AND as mentioned before, WINGS will have the flight attendant's "NAME ON IT" with the new uniform.
Cheesy beyond belief. Barf.

Cheesy?.....that isnt the half of it. I can see it now, the "intimidation factor" of having YOUR NAME on yourself so they can USE IT in a threating way TO BLAME YOU for...
....the delay
....no food, shortage of food, choice of food
....middle seat, seat mate
....lack of legroom
....lack of overhead space (right above them)
......SIR or even, hey YOU......works for me.![]()

If you have a "complaint" about a flight attendant you have the flight number and they will tell you what position they were. If not consumer affairs can figure out who you are talking about.
You have NO reason whatsoever to know a crewmember's name and they most certainly do not have to give it to you. Flight attendants are one of the most stalked professions. You don't need to know thier names. I've seen F/As give thier employee number for compliments instead of thier name.
On transatlantic you are given a name bar that you can put whatever you like on (obviously it has to be appropriate, you can't put Crack Ho on it or anything). The company can't make you display your name to a passenger. And you are not supposed to have your ID displayed while inflight. If they do cheesy namey wings, most will either not wear wings or wear the old ones. Why do they do this stupid stuff?
Your crew are not geishas, restaurant servers, or fortune tellers. You have no need to be on a name basis with them.
