Those woman aren't from Philly! If they were they sure didn't fly US Airways, they don't fly their "Widebodies" out West! Plus, there is No Way, Absolutely No Way that they could have flown on US, They couldn't fit, even in F. They had to go either Fed Ex or UPS!

honestly why would anyone with money to spend want to fly Us Airways? I am going to be brutally honest here but we have some of the oldest, most unattractive, and most unfriendly FA´s in the business. If I was a business traveller I would much rather spend my 2 grand to get served by a beautiful, young, smiling cabin crew at say Virgin Atlantic than a group of woman who have been arming emergency exits for the last 20-40 years and seem to hate passengers. I am constantly amazed by how many Fa´s i see with permanent scowls chizeled into their faces and how utterly unfriendly they are to the pax. If you hate your job that much then quit. They don´t pay you that well to begin with and the travel benefits aren´t that great.

Number Two, you want smiling...try working a 14 hour day with a 14 hour smile.
Number Three, you want friendly, how about FOLLOWING THE RULES, why did I have to tell you "three" times to turn off your computer at 10 thousand feet, how dare I challenge you to follow the rules.
Number Four, why would anyone spend $$$ to fly U? LOL, uhhh, because for most passengers, it's CHEAPER then DRIVING.

I saw a "new low" this week. A passenger crapped her pants inflight. Rang her button, and said, I have Diarrhea. It wasnt until I started to SMELL it did I realize she......you know.............TMI.
And, no, she wasnt elderly. She went into the lavatory and used the sink like it was a shower. It wasnt pretty. Blocked it off and noticed the Capt.

That I will agree to. I know quite a few f/a's who are older and heavier and look fantastic, but so many have let themselves go. I'm no longer 24 and 165 lbs, but I do keep my hair cut short, morsturize, and iron/starch mt shirts. I look pretty damn good for 44 and a half. Considering most of the west gals/guys were in the crib when I started, I can't wait to see how they hold up 20-30 years from now.

BELIEVE ME, I have seen my fair share of heffers and grannies at Delta, United, American, NWA, CAL, and believe it or not , SW. And there is NOTHING more inappropriate than a upper 50/60 something man or woman in shorts..or at least the ones I have seen.

Considering how gross the present uniform is, not many look very flattering unless that spend a ton of money to alter.

Can't say I've observed the wholesale change that you and others attest on my flights. I do definitely feel the vibe you speak of if you're referring to people and attitudes in general and yes, some of these folks do fly. Even applies to some of the "well dressed" folks and the so-called "in crowd" but in a different sense.

You can always quit your job and work at a leper colony as that's not a hands-on job. What kind of a cabin config would Air Leper have?

I agree with Sky High! People, STOP dissing on the flight attendants! Rule #1 when on an airplane: Don't piss off the flight attendants! That means don't ask stupid questions and follow ALL of the rules. If we ask you to do something, then do it. We also don't want to hear anymore of your complaining. We know US Airways probably screwed you over but we don't want to hear about it. They screw us over everyday! Like you are the only one in the world with a connection to catch! Like we like to be late since it cuts into our already short overnight! Like we don't commute and have flights to catch too! How would you like it if we complained to you about everything? Also, don't ask for 2-3 different drinks when we have an hour to serve over a hundred people!

To the person who said we need young, beautiful flight attendants and a sexy airline: We are not onboard to "please" passengers. If you Pigs want a sexy airline, then why don't you charter a flight and invite some hookers or strippers to accompany you. Also, if sex sells on airlines, then why did Hooters Air cease their operations? Huh? Answer that for me!

I have about had it discussing the arbitration award...it will be settled in court before it is all said and done...so I thought I would bring up the subject of our pax.

I was commenting the other day on how some of the ultra-lccs(SkyBus) pax wear, not just "wife beater" shirts, but dirty "wife beater" shirts and wola', I see customers with dirty T-shirts and black plastic bags (for luggage) on our flights. And what is with people walking on the wrong side of the jamned packed concourses? And sitting in the floor? I now see very few suits in our concourses, mostly low yield once-in-a-life-time travelers. Is this what it has come to? The planes stink, our customers stink and now I stink. 😛

I'm confused as to why this thread is being started NOW----heck, it's been like this for at least 10+ years...fares hit rock bottom and we started "flying them from trailer park to trailer park on a big jet."

Cry me a river. 14 hr days are not uncommon in many other 'service' industries, yet those people don't have the look on their faces like they just ate a dozen lemons.
