Southwest does not stay at terribles. I picked up a former us flight attendant who is a friend of mine but now works for Southwest and they do in fact stay on the strip. Maybe Terribles is an overflow for them. That I'm not sure.

Brother-in-law is front end crew. He was staying there as of a few months ago.

I dont know if they stay together. I do know that my friend who worked for us before stayed on strip under the big top if you catch my drift. Even though I don't work at WN I don't want to give out their info either ya know? It could have changed since then. Even still our current place is tucked on that back road and it's relatively dark walking. Being cautious is one thing but I shouldn't have to walk in numbers just to get lunch. It's total BS.

West crews used to stay at Circus Circus. They have an airline floor and from what I am told, it is dead quiet there. I guess they cost 25 cents more per night or something. Unfortunate that neither AFA or the company seems to care for our well being!

The hotel needs to change. That area is bad. PERIOD.

I've NEVER heard of anything happening to any crewmember out there, has anyone? I've NEVER heard of anyone writing up the hotel either. Soooo, based on that.............the company's view may be different.

There has been a few robberies over the years and they have all been in the vacinity of Terribles......so that is not the hotel to go to.

Sorry but the "murders and crime happen at all vegas hotels" crap is bunk. I personally feel your more prone to being attacked or mugged at a hotel OFF the beaten path than a hotel in the middle of everything. They could add all the spotlights and security they want at our current hotel. The fact that they HAVE to do that speaks volumes. Also as I mentioned before, how are we to get rest when all this construction begins around the hotel? The hotel needs to change. That area is bad. PERIOD. We have our vegas mommas and a few poppa's that are f/a regulars that blow this stuff off but it's serious. Though this kind of stuff can happen at other hotels in other cities the fact is it's happening HERE at our HOTEL in vegas! ! ! Being cautious is one thing but even trying to go out for food is a gamble. Not the kind of vegas odds I'm interested in. In a lawsuit you don't think they will dig up all the crap that has gone on at that hotel and after they added security and lighting something else happens they will be "off the hook"? I don't know about that. The company needs to revisit this and the union though claiming to be "powerless" needs to hammer away at the company about this. EVERY crew member that is willing should file a claim each and every time your there.

Tupac was shot down and murdered in front of hundreds? of people at CircusCircus just after a Mike Tyson fight. They have yet to find the gang-bangers behind it.

This is an example as to why we don't need to be near the "strip".

Where we are now isn't fancy but it's not a roach haven.

I'm not sure what kind of claim crewmembers should be claiming but I think you should rethink your statement.

And speaking of crime, I think the safest places you will find in the Valley are the Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station. Sunset Station is near a mall, lots of shopping, good restaurants, etc... and Green Valley Ranch is quite upscale with its own movie theater...

I love Terribles! I’ll be at a trade show in LAS in a few months. All the other guys can whoop it up on the strip (and loose a bunch of money), I’ll probably stay there. Pretty good Players Club, but not as good when they first opened.

I am working Vegas on Saturday. If Floyd is driving, I will say "Hi" for you. Lud is still there. He had a heart attack a while back, and had two stents placed but is doing okay now.
