🙂 Hopefully since everyone wants a NEW Airline! I suggest you get rid of all the Over weight, no makeup, faded uniform, non-caring Flight Crews. 😛 From Both airlines but especially US 🙄 Most of them bought their uniforms when they were 18 and skinny-now they are 50 and ??-just don't care any more look.
 Plus try Smiling!! It works wonders.
In the past you had weight restrictions, makeup classes, customer service training and now they hire anyone that can stand up and Do Nothing! No drinks, No Snacks, No food and NO SERVICE with a SMILE.

Go get a life.

Messers Moderators, please remove this thread.

😀 I agree totally with dj1 😀 Bring back the Friendly -good looking-good service skies. We don't just mean Flt Crews however try looking at the Gate Agts too! 😉

Obviously, we need to make sure we have friendly & caring employees (in every department). the unfriendly ones should be gone.

As far as the rest of the post ..for once I agree with 700UW . .get a life!

No more fleet service with facial piercings. Some of those guys and gals look like they have been hit in the face with a tackle box.

Ya know I gotta be REAL honest with ya, I'm a tiny bit offended. You find lousy workers of every shape size and color in ANY workplace. ON BALANCE I've not seen much of this on US lately. Most of the folks left want to be there. A new culture and attitude will get rid of those who no longer care or they will step up to the plate and embrace the new ways.

As for a dress code that's an interesting idea. I think new uniforms, smart crisp professional but not frumpy in appearance would do wonders for morale. A dress code if not to strict would also work wonders and put the "Glide in the Stride" of the employees of US Airways.

They don't hire just anyone, poophead. Flight Attendents are not "Eye Candy" and judging from your post you ain't winning any Stud of the year awards either, so back off these fine folks who have endured a heck of a lot and most still greet you with a smile on their face even if you don't deserve it.

They do hire just about anyone. All you have to do is have a 10 yr background check. They still to learn how to Dress Professionally, learn Customer Service and Smile. They deal with the Public 😉
There should be No more Facial piercings on anyone no matter where they work for Looks and Safety. Also limit it to 2 Ear Piercings! ALL Depts! but F/a's still don't do much other than read a book and visit with themselves on the Flts. any more.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to agree with a big group of agents/FA's/Pilot's do look bad in their uniforms. Hair too long, too much makeup, roots showing, frumpy looking jackets, etc. I don't know what the men's requirements are in their dress code manual but I do know that a lot of the women are not following the dress code. Too many rings, earrings, bracelets, hair too far below the collar of the dress that is about to blow a button that was hemmed too short when it was not supposed to be and should have been trashed 5 years ago.

And for those that are dedicated and maintain their appearance as well as the smile, thank you.

Sky high states: Hmmmm, complaining about employees?
Ok, lets get rid of those overweight F/A's. EVERYONE who's 10 pounds

Then, there's those OLDDDDDD F/A'S. Eww, grey hair.
Wheel em to the curb!!
Ohh, geez. Lets NOT forget those gays! They dont deserve to work here!

Thank god, I'm protected against this type of attitude, it's called discrimination.

sKY HIGH states: So?...NO ONE gets fired at U?
And, WHO hired these "slackers'' in the first place?

That is an outright falsehood.

The company if they follow their procedures and progressive steps of discipline can terminate anyone they want for not doing their jobs.

The company does not know how to fire someone and when they get their jobs back it is not usually for being innocent it is because the company did not follow the steps of just cause.

BS. CWA has only been around for 5 years or so and we have MANY slackers with a lot more time than that. Why didnt they get rid of them back then before the union?
Its called no one wanted to keep track of the screwups so we just let them slide. Even now we have people on (it seems) level 30 before anything is done. As long as I show up for work (sometimes even), look like I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing (sometimes) and dont steal from the company, I'm in. Its not because of being a union member. Its because I know management isnt going to do anything about it (and previous precedent has been set).
