The Airline Deregulation Act changed everything and I had nothing to do with that.

FYI-There are not that many former PSA commuters still working. Most have retired.

My guess is from all West Coast cities there are probably less than 50 pilots. Many of them are B767/A330 International, and under LOA93, would take a major pay cut just to fly out of PHX or LAS.

Really a moot point though. If USAPA prevails it will be at least 2-4 years after LOA93 dies in 2009 before there is a new contract that includes both pilot groups. So I don't think you are likely to see any West Coaster's at all in the foreseeable future joining your desert bases.

I was talking about FA's. And there are a good number of West fa commuters to the East bases. Anyone have the exact number? The way things are going with the East pilot contract and union issues, we will be lucky, or will NEVER get to intergration. Bad news for the West flight attendants because will NEVER SEE A PAY RAISE!!!!!!!!!! :down:

I will reiterate that there are NICE HP Crews...then there's the Crews who ruin it for us...Same on the East side...I had a crappy East crew LAX/PHL...but a great PHL crew DCA-PBI...Them's the breaks guys...

YV, no one has ruined anything but the MGMT at US Air, which is Trailor Park in the skys!! So all flight crews do there best with the runned down a/c, crappy tools given to us!! We all have good and bad days. Not fair to compare the two groups, East or West, we are all hard workers, period. 🙂

Us1, I hear from all ff's the same thing on all my flights.. I hated US. I hated AWA. They suck, this and that. The bottom line is our MGMT sucks!!! I don't know if US Air ever had such bad people running a company?? Yes, at one time AWA mgmt and founders where great, Conway and Beauvis, excuse my spelling. They founded HP, and actually cared about the people they hired and ran a wonderful airline until bk 1, then Franke took over....?!! The company went to he!! after that. Us Westies still care a great deal for each other, and want something better. Sorry that it has spilled over...? 🙁

I wasn't implying anything WCT...We're all a bunch of dedicated hard working folks at this "Dougie's Version of playing Operation on a regional airline and an intl carrier". I'm 100% positive that the LAX/PHL Crew had a bad day...they were saying they sat around 6 hours in LAX getting moved off their trip to CLT and put on the PHL flight 🙂

and WCT I would not contribute to the East versus West or West versus East bullcrap, but I will come clean with you WCT I am contributing to the WEAST versus Management prattle.

I'm not sure where everyone gets the idea that so many east F/As want to be based in PHX? The PSA merger was two decades ago. Alot of them are gone. A lot of them that are left commute in to do their few ocean crossings a month. Many are retiring in the next couple of years. The number I've heard was 200 or so commuters from the west coast, and very few from PHX itself. That's a tiny number even if they all go.
