What's new

East crews out West.

Must you use every topic to promote your belief that the West pilots are inferior and deserve to have their jobs stolen?
Nobody ever said anything about your two rather off-topic rants.

Please quote anyone that has stated "West pilots" are inferior or deserve to have their jobs stolen?

Belief in a chronological seniority system does not make anyone "inferior" to anyone else, yet it does reveal pathetic bias' on the part of the accuser, you.

I have always stated that there are legal ways to preserve ones jobs. I will not go further to protect some one else's job, however, other than state what is law. It is up to them to get off their tutus and protect themselves.

People are people and none of us chose this mess. The industry we work for has changed drastically and none of it is out fault.

Absolutely wrong!

The industry changed because you allowed it to happen. You can take it back, but, so far, choose not to. That is your fault.

Oh I love the "dry heat" comment. Living in Vegas I'd say, "Yeah well you try doing yard work or jogging in that dry heat when it's 115 and no shade". Hot is hot. Or you get the "you don't sweat" comment. Yeah well when you pass out and don't realize you dehydrated remember it's a dry heat.

How funny. I tell people it is like you are cooking a nice hot dinner in the oven, when it is done, you open up the oven and that super hot dry breeze hits you hard in the face! It is an oven heat, with no hope of turning off either, even at 3am in July!!

I'm liking the change of scenery. Keep 'em coming.
🙂
We all know you Easties plan on coming out West, don't worry we are preparing!! We should be United by then, and PHX probably will be history. LAS or LAX anyone??

WCT, do you mean base transfers? I wouldn’t worry about that.
If things stay the way they are out west with the flexibility, and not everything is seniority based, YES! There will be a lot of East transfers, especially all the West PSA commuters. I have elaborated on many old posts about flying out of the West hub, but again this is on the HP contract. I am sure a lot of Easties do want to go to Hawaii and work one leg, nice long layover on the beach, and then one leg home. All of our Hawaii's are that way. We also brought back the long 35 hour layover in SJO next month, one leg and one leg home. I was joking that another merger would get rid of the PHX base, which I believe is highly likely.

FYI-There are not that many former PSA commuters still working. Most have retired.

My guess is from all West Coast cities there are probably less than 50 pilots. Many of them are B767/A330 International, and under LOA93, would take a major pay cut just to fly out of PHX or LAS.

Really a moot point though. If USAPA prevails it will be at least 2-4 years after LOA93 dies in 2009 before there is a new contract that includes both pilot groups. So I don't think you are likely to see any West Coaster's at all in the foreseeable future joining your desert bases.

Actually, you are incorrect.

No one is saying "west crews" are inferior.

and not one east person ever said they wanted a west job to the detriment of a west pilot.

Your hyperactive imagination seems to cloud the issue.

I hope the west may have some good trips to the east. Besides the rhetoric here lets hear about some of your experiences, sans some of the pilot arguments.

You might want to put down that beer and pick up a newspaper sometime.

The Airline Deregulation Act changed everything and I had nothing to do with that.

We might be more effective as a group of some of us got a little closer to reality.

I'm wrong, Your one-upmanship and "Experience. Something that takes time" comment was a complement to the West meant to foster cooperation.
