As a result of the reverse acquisition, the 2005 consolidated statement of operations for the new US Airways Group presented in this report is comprised of the results of America West Holdings for the 269 days through September 27, 2005 and consolidated results of US Airways Group for the 96 days from September 27, 2005 through December 31, 2005. The results of operations for fiscal years 2004 and 2003 are those of America West Holdings.

No matter what you call it or who's "group" or "inc" it is, it all still sucks. We have become the sh*ttiest airline ever. Makes one wonder if HQ gets its drinking water from the contaminated cess pool called Tempe Town Lake.
 
My point exactly. We may be under seperate contracts but we are still under the umbrella of this NOW crappy halfassed airline. I don't get the bickering. Who cares about who's cart was set up better or procedure worked better. We all have things that are changing in our jobs that we don't like. Taking it out on the other side of the operation is not going to accomplish anything. I'm not saying sit around in a circle and sing songs holding hands but c'mon already. We MUST stand firm on our negotiations and apply the pressure soon if things don't move along. East vs West....do you think management cares? They will have ONE livery, website, uniform in the eyes of the public. They don't care how you all hash it out behind closed doors. The lack of caring should be visible to all by now.

It's hard to tell a difference on an operational level any more, since West corporate has taken to lowering expectations nationwide.

I see what you say but remember the west employees or the east employees or only links in a chain.(KEY WORD HERE IS EMPLOYEE's) of one Company(LCC) so why treat each other as a contaminated cess pool!
 
Each employee group is not the enemy here. I don't want to think of management as the enemy BUT when you have complaints fall on deaf ears and a definate lack of understanding or care towards the employee I sort of feel that way. I just want everyone that TRULY makes this company run get along. F management. Lets not turn one group against another. What has it done so far? Anything good?

and your point is?

per the corporate filing, USAirways bought AWA. Just because the corporate ninnies decided to treat accounting issues "as if" AWA bought USAirways does not change the corporate transaction of who bought whom, at all.

Just be certain when you stir the pot you take care not to slop the contents on yourself.

It really doesn't matter who bought who at this point ussnark but if you want some good reading and if a little girl can comprehend what she reads try this, Look up the sec filing for the following companies. America West Holdings and its wholly owned subsidiary AWA, US Airways Inc, Piedmont, PSA, MSC and Airways Assurance Limited. Now look up sec filing for US Airways Group LCC. also to help you out(Wholly Owned Subsidiary)A subsidiary whose parent company owns 100% of its common stock.
Investopedia Says: In other words, the parent company owns the company outright and there are no minority owners.
(on September 27, 2005. Following the merger, America West Holdings continued as a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group NOT US Airways Inc.) Bob, you're right. This late in the game it really doesn't matter who bought whom. I, for one, am tired of getting screwed, but we all seem to keep bending over and taking it! I mean really, when does all the infighting stop? :angry:

The employee groups need to realize that unless we ALL stand together then we are ALL going to get screwed one way or another. The management of this company has been pretty adept at playing both sides against each other ("east" vs. "west") and some of us are buying into that crap. Hello...union busting 101 anyone?

We ALL need to just do OUR jobs and only OUR jobs per our manuals, contracts etc. I keep hoping we'll get our collective a**es in gear before it's too late. So, regardless of who bought whom we are stuck in this together and at the end of the day we will be partly responsible for how this all turns out.........
