Fleet Service apathy

Here's a fun twist, suppose there actually is a purchase of AA,who do you vote for in a representational election? Post term sheet the numbers of employees in the Fleet Service classification at both carriers will be roughly in the same ballpark.

Lot of very unhappy TWU people in AA land and the TWA guys are a virtual lock to vote IAM.

Good times ahead.

chances of people unite? I thinks that was tossed out a heck of a long time ago We need leadership who is willing to unite us all etc who is willing to negogiate an actual fair contract and one who wont sell their own members down the river Besides Tim I dont see anyone else running for it. If you know someone then fess up. Right now Tim is th only one who has a lot of knowledge and makes more sense giventhat RD has dont NOTHING for the past 4 yrs in office

How many Tim clones are there on here anyway? I noticed that a handful of posters here all repeatedly parrot Tim’s ideology, and distorted vision. We have argued every single item on the occupy agenda for weeks… and it is completely clear beyond a reasonable doubt that it holds little validity.

Another thing that puzzles me is Tim’s disgruntlement with the people other than Delaney at the 141. I think there may be a whole lot more to the story than what Tim is telling us regarding his relief of duties as organizer!

My question to you... orgac... blownnees... and cltrat is this... are any of you on Tim's ticket?

roabilly, no I am not on Tim's ticket only meet him once.

I just asked the question about what the current President as done to merit reelection, so far I have seen nothing. no responses from his supporters.

as far as Tim goes, I would liken it to the current race for POTUS, I may like a particular canidate over another but I don't agree with everything they say or belief

If I am allowed to vote a split ticket and it is not time restricted farce like the one a few weeks that is likely what I would do as it stands today

Just an FYI. More furloughs coming soon. PIT, LAS, and BOS will be hit the hardest. More info when I get it.

I hear yahh rat...

I think there is something that needs to be clarified... "SPLIT TICKET"... many Members are under the impression that they will be able to vote for a "mixture" of candidates in a mix and match method. Example: Leave all the current AGC'c in place with Tim at the helm.

Tim clarify this ... it's ALL of your ticket or the hi-way correct?

Just as much discontent at US with the IAM, so it will be interesting to see what union makes the cut.

roability Im not on Tim's ticket but then again I have yet to see any kind of hard hard evidence that RD has doen anything for us FSA members of US. For example my grievance was filed July 09, had a local hearding Jan 2011 was told numerous times that they dont know when my arbitration or mediation hearing is go explain why that is? I ask weekly basis only to be told the same sh!t over and over. Plain Flat Out ridicoulus that people who have grievances like mine or more have to conitnue to wait years and yrs and yrs for no reason I ve never met Tim but he sure has presented dam good ideas but again the union members have got to be united otherwise the company will continue to walk all over us as they have demonstrated before

Just heard PIT is getting rid of 10 Full Time and 4 Part Time effective June 4th due to Catering being cut back.

I am sure Tim would prefer you vote for all of his ticket, I can't imagine you couldn't pick and choose whatever people you wanted to.
However that being said it wouldn't be the first time there was something in the lodge by laws I thought was stupid.
Like the election last month when there was like a 2 hour window to vote. One shop steward even told me "I have to get over there before they lock the doors"
WTF? there is a vote going on and the doors are going to be locked?? What is it a Moose Lodge? let's lock the doors and drink beer and play cards? I am being sarcastic but really that is how it came off to me.

Your Shop Steward, then Grievance Committee then the AGCs are the ones responsible for the grievance procedure, not the DL PDGC.

Its up to the AGC to push labor (un)relations to schedule and hear Step III and beyond.

Steps I and II are heard locally.

Polling hours are usually 6am to 6pm, not two hours.

When I was RS of 1725, our polls were always open 12 hours to give everyone an opportunity to vote.

well they weren't for the nomination election I believe the window was 3 to 5 pm it was a total farce

Bringing people together is what I do. That's how you win organizing drives, i.e., team building. In nominations, I have blocked the full endorsements of all the US AIRWAYS hubs, which was our primary focus in the nomination process. We also secured 25% more of the vote than Delaney at the two biggest UA hubs. And I will be working relentlessly, as I am today, on getting key support at the remaining hubs/stations.

Alot of hard work to do but if and once I get in, the membership will be kept well informed and team building will commence. There is a huge amount of hate in this union. I have to bring together all those who oppose Occupy 141 and be inclusive. And that's how I did it as Director of Organizing. I included Canale people against Delaney's wishes but that's how you have to do it. It's called team building.

Onward!

700 was partially right. Nomination month is March. Nominations are held during the regular meeting that month. June is election month and that is a 12 hr day.

Unfortunately,

Management is again advising most of our members about additional layoffs that will affect 17 stations in total, including all of those mentioned above. It would be nice for the union to have adivsed the members first.

At any rate, the EAP committee is always put together at United airlines when this happens because of the stress levels of going through layoffs. The EAP folks will have the proper resources. Force your AGC to get up off of his arse. The AGC's no showed the EAP committee for all stations that closed early this year. That would NEVER happen at United

Onward!
