What's new

Fleet Service apathy

To the audience. What Mike is saying is that he refuses to consider the ND negotiations over the past 4 years and how they single handedly destroyed things at HAL, and UA/CO and that he is willing to blindly keep a starting pitcher in the game that is getting blown up in the first inning, in hopes that maybe he finally 'gets his arm'.

What will happen is this. If Delaney wins, you will be stuck with a UA president who doesn't give a rats arse about US AIRWAYS and if he doesn't horse trade the group for the mechanics in any merger, he will certainly throw the group into transition talks like he always does in mergers and wish all of you away for a very long time before any contract is signed. And along the way, hopefully, you don't lose whatever seniority you may have left to the TWU. Delaney will not fight and he has absolutely no passion, no energy, and no fight in him. Period.

Onward!

You don't speak for me Tim. You don't know what I'm thinking and I'm gonna keep it that way. You should have interviewed your Candidate Delaney more before you pushed him four years ago if you think of him in such a way? What mike is saying is I have 1 vote and now you know what that is and why.

Your a smart guy Tim and well educated for sure.

Back to Hibernation and Awaiting your attack ! Happy Chatting!

And Tim,

You played right into the company's hands when you filed short on cards, the very next thing the company did was destroy Fleet, CSA and RES, in 1992 with the all the cuts, the company basically raped the employees, and it was your fault.

But I love how you conveniently forget and dont acknowledge it.

Funny shall I get the former IBT reps to come on the board and explain how you tried to sell your name list to get a job with the IBT.

Shall we talk about how you tried to get with the TWU also after the merger to further your own ego?

Track records are very important, and yours is all about Tim and not the members.

You pushed RD and now you blame him, look in the mirror, your were his main supporter and he rewarded you with a nice organizing job, now didnt he?

Hey, he's yours now, i.e., Delaney that is. You can have him bro. lol.

Look, many others will choose the way you did Mike. Delaney > Canale and we needed change but it isn't much better with these UA presidents.

Your vote is for the status quo. That's fine, that's your choice but that choice also meant that you rejected a leader who already had proven leadership experience at the District level and was very successful on your dime. A leader who was 24/7 for you while you were paying me.

And, your status quo choice means all the other things that I said. Bottom line. Like I said, others will choose the same thing but none of them, including you, can point to what Delaney has done, and you would have to agree with me that his actions have been terrible. Of course, you and Roabily conveniently leave out everything Delaney hasn't done and everything he has destroyed. YOu don't even discuss it. You would have to admit with me that it is fundamentally wrong for him to strip one more US AIRWAYS person off of representation. I'm not speaking for you Mike, your choice speaks for you and you can't refute anything that I have spoken. Bottom line.

Have at it and vote for another UA president that only treats US AIRWAYS as second best. BTW, go to the union update that was just posted by Delaney and read all about UA and Continental in his update and you will conveniently see that US AIRWAYS isnt even mentioned! Truly mind boggling.

Mike33,

This is a case where Tim is right and everybody else is wrong. Sheesh, can't you see that. Sarcasism fully intended. Even your opinion is wrong, when you want to express it, ask Tim first. Did the HA members vote to accept their CBA? Yes they did. Ultimately it will be the UA/CO members that decide, just like it will be US that have the final say. Heck he even likes to speak for an entire station, where he dosen't even work. Likes to speak for people, and IMO, without even talking to said person to see if that is how they really feel. I can promise I will campaign so hard against the occupy ticket, that no one from the occupy ticket should get even 1 vote from my station. Oh and Tim, I'm sorry I did not ask your permission before expressing MY OPINION, how about I sign a "commiment letter" stating I will not ever do it again. NOT.

Don't forget he tried to get IBEW cards signed too.

Tim...

Hopefully... when this all over... there will be a lesson learned here...

"You can fool some of the Membership some of the time... but you can't fool the majority of the Membership all of the time"... You're smart... but you ain't THAT smart...

I think we all have the same idea, i.e., a leading industry contract. There is only one path to get it though and it's not the path that our current union structure has us on. Has nothing to do with who is president. The structure simply needs to be fixed before we can achieve some of the things we all are talking about. When I am president, one thing I know, I will be able to count on PJ, Mike and you. You guys have been hard on me but someone has to be.

And we forgot about the AGW.

Just Google Tim Nelson and US Airways, lots of good stuff comes up!
Cripes, I think I wanted every union under the sun and would have tried to bring in the ladies garment workers over Canale's betrayal of the fleet group. Cripes, dare I say that I was even a member in bad standing! Of course, at the end of the day, the IAM appointed me and I made peace with the IAM and ended up having incredible success bringing in new members for the IAM. Twisted? Yes. Long way around the block? Sure. But pretty cool stuff how I reconciled with the IAM and we worked everything out.

Which brings me to my point, if I was able to work with Robert Roach and the IAM INTL and the IAM 141, after I was busted as a member in bad standing, and all of us buried hard feelings, then what's your fuss? I think, if anything, it shows that I have an ability to move things forward. And it shows that the INTL and IAM 141 has an incredible respect for me. And even now, I get along with most all of the ND guys. But I owed it to myself and the membership to run for President and get the job done.

Occupyiam141 Update

Over the past 3 weeks, our slate has targeted 10 stations in hopes of securing the needed 4 nominations. Our success rate has been incredible and we thank the membership for that. I myself have secured 6 out of the 10 circled stations, including PDX this evening, and I came within only 3 votes of securing UA's biggest hub and station. We have also targeted a few more stations coming up but may shut it down after only one more nomination. Our strategy was to secure at least 3 hubs and run a bottom up s campaign in June. This has already been accomplished. In the process, I secured the trust and support of all the US AIRWAYS hubs through their nomination endorsements. This was no easy task since the establishment, i.e., local officers and committees were mostly not on our side and we had to walk past them to the masses to pick up our nominations. But the masses responded.

As the nomination process winds down, I want to thank all of the members for their support. We have a plan for April and May leading up to the June elections and you can follow our travels and plans by visiting our website at www.occupyiam141.com

Maybe you should grab a couple of cups of that "Dunkin' Donuts Coffee"... I don't think you are fully awake yet...

I can't speak for the others... but... there is no-way I'd place myself in a position where I would have to answer to you...

Running for Prez means he would answer to us, the membership. Right?
