WOW 700 you know these things? Where is your name on the list? Grand Lodge Officer Compensation.. Wait let me find it, ok here it is Robert Roach 223k in 2006, got it. Man your doing well. Did you type this yourself or did you just have your confidential secretary type it? Get back to work and get me a decent TA.

It's time to start callin' out all these Corn Holes...

Git tahh work... do somthin' constructive for us with our money!

Typical BS

Why is it that the IAM puts that out to UA but says nothing about it to USairways employees that they represent......You know why............

BECAUSE THEY HAVE ULTERIOR MOTIVES BLENDED INTO YOUR .....TA......HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW. LIKE A 2ND CLASS IAM MEMBER?

giantfan i see you never been in our shoes where we have worked in mainline cities that are outsourced, most of us couldnt transfer due to variety of reasons. I also see you dont have a problem watching your own brothers and sisters sold down the river with no life vest much like what the IAM and company did to the EAST in round 2 of ch11. I guess that granted you have 30 yrs but i must tell you i know one guy who is working in my city had 45 yrs with the airline before we became PIEDMONT. Yet he lost out for his own reasons of collecting thousands of dollars whereas another agent I know retired in 2003 from mainline after we became mainline express and that agent made out like a bandit. So it sounds to me that you dont have an issue with garbage contract like what the outfit put out there now. I am also guessing you dont have a problem with the way the IAM has representing you. Look at UAL for example, theey have profit sharing higher wages to name a couple dont sit there and tell me this outfit and this so called T/A couldnt of been better when it could be a he!! of a lot better. It just surprises me that you dont have a problem with watching your union brothers and sisters being sold down the river and whose to say the company aint going to stay committed to the T/A anyway--especially with the outsourcing?????

This is getting really OLD! Again! Does the CIC give protection after the end of the contract in 2009 and does it give employees the edge to strike!

Hot off the IAM 141 Scare you into voting for Canale Scareline.

Northwest and Delta Announce Merger Plans

To All IAM Members Employed at United Airlines:

Printable Version

To the surprise of no one, Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines today announced plans to merge. It is possible that some combination of United, Continental, and/or American Airlines may be prompted by today’s announcement. These airline mergers represent a threat to your wages, benefits and union representation itself.

United’s IAM-represented Ramp, Stores, Public Contact, Fleet Technical Instructor, Maintenance Instructors, Security Guards and Dining Service employees are the airline’s only employees to survive bankruptcy with better than industry-average wages and secure defined benefit pension plans. While other unions made promises to their members, only the Machinists Union produced positive results.

A merger could possibly lead to a loss of union representation entirely. This occurred when American Airlines bought Trans World Airlines (TWA). TWA’s IAM-represented Customer Service and Reservation employees were combined with their non-union counterparts at American, losing all union protection. Additionally, TWA’s IAM and ALPA membership lost hard-earned seniority when they merged under the seniority integration policies of American’s various unions.

There is a lot at risk, but the IAM is prepared. We will oppose any merger that negatively impacts our members, passengers or the cities these airlines serve.

District 141 will work with the entire IAM Transportation Department to preserve the contracts, pensions and union representation rights that you have fought so hard to achieve.

Monitor the District 141 website’s Merger Watch page, available at www.iam141.org/airline_mergers.htm and sign up for email notifications for the latest information as this situation develops.

"It is possible that some combination of United, Continental, and/or American Airlines may be prompted by today’s announcement" Randy knows whats next and we pay him to keep us in the dark so he can keep getting elected. WTF?!

You know after the fine job the NC did on this POS TA I'm sure the IAM organizing department can use our contract if ratified for example to sway the workers at Delta to vote for a union!

NOT!

Lith

If this is getting to old for you don't come back.....what part of Blochs' " opinion " don't you get. The potection is that it won't be going anywhere if this TA is voted down. I don't understand your ? about it giving you an edge to strike ! Alot of unagreed to terms allow you to separate from negotiation and possibly strike.
Vote yes or vote no....period....it's too late for you to understand the COC. Drop it like the Company figures you will and you will find out.

chill,
"Yeah, but customer service in PHX complained and petitioned and they got some rules changed. Now trade for trade doesn't count.

Fleet service in PHX will start burning bags if they cant trade!"

we had a me to clause on that . we are currently in the east enjoying that same benefit of trade for trade doesn't count . GOES bye bye with a YES vote.

and the sad thing is that privelage doesn't cost the company a penny but yet they don't want you to have it.

The IAM Organizing department? What is that? Does that exist? Never heard of it? Who ever is in charge of that at the Grand Lodge is probably sh!ting a 'Brickner' right now from this TA. They cant organizing a thing with this TA. But could you image if the IAM would have took a stance back in BK court and just once fought for IAM members and contractual rights? Imagine the selling point to Non-union represented employees the IAM would have had to organize with if had the IAM had the Nads to fight it out instead of worrying about paying all these waste of dues salaries!

US AIRWAYS is positioned to enter the merger activity. That is what is fueling these negotiations.

I was in the courtroom, when you are in chapter 11 the union and employees have very few rights.

The IAM fought the company as did the other unions and all lost.

The Judge's responsibility is to the creditors and company, not employees.

Educate yourself on what occurs when a company files bankruptcy, you will find it favors the companies and creditors, not the employees.
