Mike: Questions: Doesn't the east CBA say "mainline flights"? when they say" jet" IMO
that includes any "jet" an RJ is a jet. Also didn't the sept TA say mainline flights? OK
I'm going back to read it for myself.

I don't have access to anything till Mon. Look it up and let me know. It's something all should look up. Believe me I don't mind being wrong...............
It's best I am.

Thanks all ,
I was just stateing that alot could change within that 6 month period, the CO. could come crying about high fuel cost and say that the classII's would have to wait another 6 months?
Got off the phone with Redeye and was told that Canale refuse to let him and Tim into the meeting!!
Canale said he didn't reconize Tim as a chairman

Your Committee believes this is an agreement worthy of your consideration. As always, the membership will make the final decision. You have an opportunity that tens of thousands of airline workers who have endured bankruptcy wish they had - an opportunity to regain some of what was lost. I am confident that whatever choice the membership makes will be in their best interests. I assure you that the membership’s decision will have the full support of the entire Machinists Union. That is what democracy in the IAM is all about – the power rests with the membership.
-Randy Canale

Sure Randy... Democracy. Sounds more like a dictatorship when you kick your own people out of the room!

I find it astonishing that in Randy's letter he states that if we dont vote this TA in the company is not going back to the negotiating table. What a complete bunch of BS!!! The company will come back again and again. They want this Change of Control agreement vanished so they can merge with another company more than ever!

Well, I sorta read the TA. I did far more then skim it, but I didnt' read it word for word. I'm not voting for that piece of ####. The middle is all right, but the begining and end aren't covered by the middle.

I have read it but as far as Im concerned its more geared for the WEST and for them it might be an improvement but bottom line is the sick is in the ICU and the 60 day rul should have been elminated NO OTHER GROUPS have that just FLEET SERVICE I will comment as I see it

I was told that at this meeting in PIT that Tim wasn't allowed, Nick Handlow wasn't allowed, Dave Lolly(the President of the Local)wasn't allowed, all the shop stewards weren't allowed. Just whatever AGC's showed up and believe it or not Dave Hall. I hope Dave Hall shot em' the bird MF'd em and walked out. What nerve..........Not include Dave in the vote and then explain it to him to explain to the troops. What nerve!

article 31.
"The parties will commence bargaining for a new collective bargaining agreement no later than July 15, 2011"

raise your hand if you think US won't merge with another airline by then.

who knows? maybe douggie will try to buy out Frontier now that they're bankrupt.
the point is that we have the upper hand...no money, no merger doug.

Raise your hand if another merger is going to get me anymore money anytime soon? If the co wants to merge ahead with another airline do honestly think little ol' Fleet is going to stop them? Be realistic.

"We have the upper hand"....what exactly hand is that? People need to understand this company will do whatever it wants and the courts will support them....like they always have.

These ppl who want to vote NO as a protest are taking money out of your pocket. It's not a perfect contract but it's the only sitting infront of us with something better than we got now.

I am not willing to wait anymore. I'm voting YES.

Where did all these newbies come from? Do They think we are dumb enough to believe that they are all concerned F/S workers, who just happen to want to open a USAviation account today? Come on Canale we're not that stupid.

The above suspicion is much warranted. What are the odds of all these pro-contract posters suddenly showing up today at the most critical time? I have to hand it to them (Company / IAM, or both) though! Incredibly creative!

Just as I suspected… this agreement has been carefully crafted, to be marginal to the extent that it will most likely be close in terms of the overall yays and nays.

The company knows their demographics very well…they are attempting to get a Fleet Service Transition Agreement for the absolute lowest price possible. LCC and the IAM both know they only need 50% plus 1 (one) individual to pass this agreement.

My only advice to all is… be prepared for a whirlwind of consolidation in the next few months. Pay particular attention to seniority protection, and Merger and Acquisition Language.

Brothers and Sisters… I trust that our collective wisdom will see this transition, and a very near pending, and inevitable future transition through.

You crack me up. You and your conspiracy theorists. Yes, we are all secret operatives working as agents for Canale and the rest.

This is my favorite part:

The company knows their demographics very well…they are attempting to get a Fleet Service Transition Agreement for the absolute lowest price possible.

Ahhh....duh???

Doesn't every corporation try to get there workforce for the lowest price possible.

I'll keep saying it...

Vote no = garbage we got now

Vote yes = a little better than what we got now

I don't understand. Why will it take 3 weeks before we can vote on this. Can't the info be relayed and explained in a couple of days???? 3 weeks is ridiculus.

Roabilly
You joined 2 months ago-big deal. who are you calling newbies? Alot of us have been reading and laughing at the New Direction To Nowhere propaganda for a long time and finally decided to jump in and have a say. The point of this thread is to discuss different points of view - not trash each other. Stay on topic and have something useful to add for once

WARNING TO ALL WHO POST................
Personal attacks, trashing each other, whatever you want to call it will get you time off without any other warning. Stay on the topic & not make it personal. I just gave time off in another thread .
