When I started checking the TA out, by page 3 I was repulsed. Appaled. Disgusted. The middle half wasn't that bad though. There was a lot in there that shows work between in th Company and Union to compromise. I don't like all of the middle, but I find it very reasonable. The last half (basically payscale) IMO isn't supported by the middle. Were the $20.57 the only payscale, and it was a 10 year topout instead of 12 it would be more palatable, but even then it's short. Factor in the "half now half later" and it's an obscenity.

It looks overall (with many small tweaks) like the September TA. But that was voted down by over 60%. I don't see how this can pass if the previous one didn't. Sure there's the threat that Canale may just roll the West onto the East contract. But it's only that, a threat. Canale said that if the NC couldn't reach an agreement last month, then he'd present the Companies last offer to the membership, and if that didn't pass he'd roll West into the East contract. He lied then. He's lying now.

Does anyone have a copy of the pay scale as it now stands? If so please post it here. I have some math to do.

The top out raise equates to 8.5%. Not even the 10% that maintance recieved. Before anyone says anything I know that the other 1.5% only equals .27 cents but thats not the point.

rate on the scale under the CBA. example : new pay $15 cureently making $13 raise of $1.00 in
30 days.

''The PHL Rule'', my name. Hire new employees above the agreed amount as long as no employee
makes less than the new hire at that location. example : Hire in Phl at $9 while someone in Clt is
making less of a staring rate but not in Phl.

My vote will be NO and in all the above scenarios I can stop at page 3 with the CIC being eliminated
and 18 cities being threatened before continuing on. Canales' letter only irked me more as he refers
to the companys plight and in doing so talks of a bad economy and oil prices all the while somewhat
oblivious to the rising need of the group and the fact of the realization we are well aware of our needs.
We pay $3.30 for gas and my oil was $865 for one delivery this season. The we'll fight next time does
not sell itself to me as it has been uttered since 04'.

Thank You for reading and educate yourselves and vote. My post is not meant to sway but point
out the agreement in general. Vote Yes if you feel this is indeed a good step for you but I do not
see it that way at all. I have over 20++ years and am quietly disguisted in our, my union.
 
Mike: Questions: Doesn't the east CBA say "mainline flights"? when they say" jet" IMO
that includes any "jet" an RJ is a jet. Also didn't the sept TA say mainline flights? OK
I'm going back to read it for myself.

Ok guys, I don't even pretend to know your agreement. M&R scope has any thing that flies main line we work on, OK 50%. So if they fly a bunch of bug smasher 310's ,its our work. You may want to bring that question up at your meetings. 🙄

Could someone post the East and West pay scales as they stand currently.

And whoever finds the answer for Joe, also find out what the Language for the shift trades mean.

26 per quarter, but local conditions may apply. Does that mean we can protest and allow more per quarter?

People often try to comprehend what that means, but people here in the West come into work like 1 time a month and just fly around for the rest of the time. I know like 3 people who do it, I am not exaggerating at all.

I believe this is to make the environment more career oriented and less like a side job for flight benefits.

I agree. I'm tired of seeing co workers working 4 shifts a month, dropping the rest and taking full advantage of health benefits and free travel for themselves and their family.
