Somebody let me know when the latest cat fight is over and I will undo the ignore.

I really wish the moderators would do something about this.

Labor Gains Ground in the South and Eyes a Delta Contract

The Association of Flight Attendants tried three times to organize Delta flight attendants -- in 2002, 2008 and 2010. It failed each time, even after the 2010 merger brought 7,000 unionized Northwest flight attendants into the bargaining unit. Pantoja said a group of Delta flight attendants contacted the IAM in 2012, asking to be organized.

"They came to us on their own, with several thousand signed cards," he said. "Now we have over 300 organizers. I believe that by the end of the year we will file." The London-based International Transportation Workers Federation is helping IAM reach out to flight attendants who fly overnight in Europe, he said.

Delta spokeswoman Kate Modolo said Delta employees prefer the direct relationship they have with their leaders. "Delta people have received eight companywide pay increases of 3% or more each since 2007 -- something no other airline, including those with IAM-represented workgroups, has matched," Modolo said.

"I believe that by the end of the year we will file."

funny because we heard the same exact predictions last year at this time........

So you either need help or you arent what you claim to be.

And the question is, "Will it be enough"?

What will ur reaction be if the IAM gets in?

My reaction will be, "You suckers made your bed, now it's time to sleep in it!"

To be honest, I really don't care whether or not the ramp and/or the FA's get a union, I'm just here to tell people that a union won't solve all of your problems, the way some, on here, pretend they will.

South if they ever go after Tech Ops I hope you become a dues objector. Working to educate three of my MIA agent friends on the dangers of the CWA been speaking with the local president and secretary they are clueless USAIR employees (President retired from SRQ in 2005) they know noting about working for AA or at MIA.

Sito has said a lot but if it's worth anything Roach believed the 2010 drive would be a slam dunk and said "we have this" and even Kev has posted about this before. Did Bill Sherry comment on organizing efforts at DL?

If you are going to name drop learn to get it right.

Pathetic

What did I get wrong? Bill Sherry was GVP Transportation before Roach. Roach did say "we had this" during the DL elections in 2010 and Kev has stated that numerous times. Tim has told me more about Roach and his screw ups at DL offline.

If and that's a big "IF" there is ever a union push, at TechOps, I gaurantee it won't be for the IAM or UAW!
