BTW, it's 43, not 37, but you already know that.

Dunno what I was thinking yes, 43 stations. But ANC cargo closed and now MEM & SLC cargo too. Didn't some DCI handling work go fromKev3188 said:Happy to be have been wrong... So far...BTW, it's 43, not 37, but you already know that.

Not that I know of, but I'm sure if it occur, you'd be all for it.Didn't some DCI handling work go from
M/L to Regional Elite and later DGS at DTW?

no, what is pathetic is that you can't accept that there are indeed things about which DL is indeed good.Look mr dl professor whats more pathetic and even more sad is the fact u ram all the goodie bs dl does and slam all the other airlines for doing similar so button it up
Res office closings are different IMO. I know to you it's significant being both PM-NW but with declining call volumes there is no need to have people in so many locations. AA has two US-based centers (SRO-DFW & SERO-RDU), US has two (INT & PHX) and UA has recently closed several as well.Kev3188 said:Don't forget SEA & SUX res.Not that I know of, but I'm sure if it occur, you'd be all for it.BTW, DGS isn't in DTW anymore.
ATL, CVG, DFW, MSP, SLC, TPA, AGS and they have work from home people also. (and centers across the world too. I think they just shut the SCL center down)737823 said:I'm not too familiar with DL but pretty sure they have:

horse crap.737823 said:Dawg the UA IAM agreement is now the industry standard and unions at other carriers and DL need to remain competitive. The CWA is concerned about that agreement and it's difficult to bargain against.

you wouldn't be the least bit worried if someone said something good about DL if you were comfortable in where you are in life.
You can't stand hearing the good that is said about DL because you realize that you had to accept working for US instead of DL and all the good that you saw there growing up.
healthy people don't worry about the good that someone else has. they just don't.
correct, dawg.
DL doesn't have to match other carrier labor RATES and yet still come out with better profits because 1. DL does a better job of generating revenue per ASM than any other airline in the US and 2. DL employees are more efficient than their peers at AA and UA in large part because of mgmt. decisions about how to use them - ie larger aircraft, better technology such as in Res and in ACS above wing compared to peers.
and as I have repeatedly noted, DL uses its insourcing business to create efficiencies that DL uses to lower its own maintenance costs. Thus, DL insources what it also does on its own fleet.
