No dues money will be collected until the DL FAs ratify a CBA.

And that dues money will pay for the flight loss pay of the DL FAs who become representatives.
Sooooo.....the question is then, "IF" the IAM is voted in and cannot get an acceptable contract to be ratified, can the FA's kick the IAM to the curb?

My guess is it would be some loooooong drawn out process , once they're imbedded like a tick!

You really need to learn to read and comprehend.

All they have to do is start another card drive.

Its happened at NW, UA, WN.

All the information you seek is out there, try looking a little harder.

IF they are voted in, almost impossible to go back to non union.  Would have to find
another union.

-this vote is all about the IAM and little to do with the Delta F/A's......

How To Decertify Your Union
There is a process.
Employees who want to vote a union out must circulate a petition calling for a decertification election. A sample petition is available below. They should not seek help from their employer, because the union can then complain that an unfair labor practice has tainted the election. Employees may take advantage of outside assistance, though. Signatures should be collected on non-work time and in non-work areas. It is important that the names of the union and the company be filled in before any signatures are collected.

So, it is possible.

That is under the NLRA, not the RLA.

What you posted from the anti-union site shows clearly the NLRB which has no jurisdiction under the RLA.

Yes you are correct, my apologies for not remembering the uniqueness of union organizations under the RLA.

Basically, if the IAM is voted in you will be stuck with them for a minimum of 2 years.

how can the IAM argue that it has DL employee best interest in mind when they slap them with a virtual gag order that could result in them being charged for speaking against the IAM?

and there is NO contract language between DL and FAs who are represented by the IAM because no contract exists.

even you have acknowledged that everything is subject to negotiation

No such language exists for DL employees involving the IAM

Why not instead of deflecting and defending, just answer the question, since you know everything concerning a union, especially the IAM.
Kinda thought the whole point of a "FORUM" was to discuss and gather information in the first place!
Maybe there are just certain things, that certain people don't like to discuss on this forum, especially if its detrimental to their agenda!

Sure doesn't stop 'em from trying, though...
So, a union can tell you why it's good to have one but, a company can't tell you why it might be bad to have one.....got it!

No, you don't "got it."

There is a very distinct line between advocacy and interference. Many mgmt. employees acting in the agency of the company cross that line.

Definitely information I and I'm sure others would like to know before voting.
Nothing like making an informed decision!
