Envoy doesn't make what we make at the mainline. But the pay and benefits are ok and it's the stepping stone to hoping over to the big leagues.Kev3188 said:Funny you should mention that. Just had a RR leave to go to... Envoy. Why? Because they have benefits. Great worker, too. Definitely our (DL) loss...
Yeah I agreeWorldTraveler said:if he likes being a part of a company where the IAM permitted the company to close - what 20? - cities in the past 2 years and where part-time, split shifts are not only permitted but allowed, then I'm glad he is happy.
DL employees aren't interested.
No because THEY JUST DO IT.WorldTraveler said:and they voted to eliminate thousands of jobs and then you claim it a victory that the IAM made it possible for agents to bid against outsourcing companies to save their jobs - at a reduced salary.
Delta has not and never will make employees vote to cut their pay or jobs
The list of cities that AA has cut is just as long.
and there is absolutely no assurance that the US scope clause will remain in a JCBA.
the only reason Delta has the stations they have now i due to the IAMWeAAsles said:So Delta closed stations and outsourced that work to third party vendors? So you mean that even the dirt cheap Ready Reserve program wasn't enough in cost savings for them to keep those jobs under a Delta airlines hat?
Let's spell this out one more time shall we. If I'm looking for an airport baggage handler job (Just love me those shiny metal boxes) If I'm going to be paid $12.00 max with no benefits, who cares about what (Advertising) hat they are going to want me to wear. Delta, Menzies, Swissport, Eulen America, Trump shuttle, Walmart. It's ALL the same when I have to write those checks at the end of the month to (Try) and pay my bills.
I'll have ZERO loyalty to the hat and the SECOND that a better (financial) opportunity opens up, that hat won't even get a two weeks notice from me when I throw my ID badge across the desk as I RUN out the door.
whaaaa? noooo can't beKev3188 said:Funny you should mention that. Just had a RR leave to go to... Envoy. Why? Because they have benefits. Great worker, too. Definitely our (DL) loss...

-- A bankruptcy judge Wednesday approved the $280-million-a-year concessions agreement between Delta Air Lines Inc. and its pilots, rejecting claims by the government's pension insurer that it should receive the compensation the pilots were promised if their pension is terminated.
Companies cut and take away jobs, not a union.
So who is to blame at DL ACS when jobs are cut since they are non-union?
DFW, MCO, DTW, MSP, ANC, TPA, CVG, MEM, SLC and others, what union gave those jobs up at DL?
