Oh please...consider the source...the Yahoo message board for God's sake...

...don't start spreading that garbage around here unless you've got FACTS to back it up.

I think that your numbers are on the high side...it is more like 30 a/c...not 100+. We only have about 310 now and the lowest number Dave tossed around was 245...at the road shows he mentioned 280.[:0]

This was posted on the AWA yahoo board.
US Airways sends ''em to the desert.
You probably won''t see this in the papers yet, but US Airways is about to park all of it''s older 757''s (the ex-Eastern birds) and most, if not all of it''s 737-300 & 400''s in the desert beginning the week of Sept 2. US Airways'' storage vendor is scrambling this week making the necessary arrangements to park and store between 60 to 100 of US Airways aircraft. This is not rumor, this is factual information.
Additionally, the bankruptcy court has approved the "abandonment" process for the many F100, 737-200''s, DC-9, etc. that US Airways had previously parked at MHV (Mohave Desert Storage Center).

I checked the posting on yahoo, and as expected, it gave no sources whatsoever.

Many of us utilize this bbs in order to circumvent the mindless rumor mongering of message boards like yahoo. Let's keep it that way...
