What's new

Hello everyone

I hope that AA has a better attitude that those of the legacy US.

Oh my god, just wait till you get a load of American. Bar none the most low morale airline that ever was. You Usair guys are about to share in the misery. good luck!

Well it's not like we haven't been down this road before. We are going to need all the luck we can get....

Crazy Daytripper, if you transfer to any AA base/line station..you may get chewed up and spit out. Slow your roll and be patient. Good luck

My god! Where were you educated? Your grammar is atrocious and I can barely make sense of what you write. Seriously, quit the airline and go back to school, preferably, not the school that mangled your education the first time. I think you have a legitimate lawsuit on your hands if you graduated.
wow look like somethings never change no matter where i tranfer. there is so much whining here and no one answers the question that was aksed.
No matter where you transfer? You only have four years in. Do you have a lot of problems with other employees wherever you go?
i am no sour about the airlines or my job i am here to work and make a liveing. who cares if someone want to work AND see the world. i know that people with both US and AA and every other airline in the USA have been threw a lot since 9-11 ( i was in the 8th grade). But geting sour about what you do and I hope that at least at the bigging of your career that you loved and takeing it out on the other is the way to go. When you all started did you not want to travel? Yes i am here to travel AND to pay my bills i live within the paycheck that i make and i stil am able to save $$$. i dont know what it is like at AA but here at US-EAST mostly lost so much with everything but if you look at things in a positive note and look at what you have and able to do and not on what you lost and what you cant do. so can we please get back on track and get back to what was aked thanks.
As a four year employee you do not know loss. You do not have enough history with the airlines to even comprehend how hard the airline industry employees have been hit. The fact that your primary concern is how much travel will cost you shows you have nothing vested in the airline.

Thanks bigmac 🙂 i am expecting a lot of AA people not to like me bc of what airline i started with. That how most of the US Airways oldies done when i moved to CLT from PHX most of them hate PHX and since i am from there they hate me. I just come to work do what i love to do and if i make friends that great. i love this industry and will never do something else (under my control) most of the people that i met lost there love for it but i am not going to let that happen to me... I know that US airways dont like dug or the mgt i dont know how AA fells about the mgt but my take is if they can still pay me and make $$ for the airline they are doing something right we might not like what need to be doen ( you cant please everyone) but i love what i do and i am glad to say i love the airline that i work for what ever that airline might be🙂 i am looking forward to AA because my grandpa is a retired mechnic (1998) and thats who i got the love of the airline from. and he still loves to travel and AA and i am glad to be apart of AA.

ps i love the new logo🙂

Can someone translate that for me?

I am in IT, and I have seen firsthand what the Pilots/FA’s/Mechanics/Rampers/Ops and basically everyone from the top to the bottom deal with on an IT level.

I really do not see where you are going with that.

I hope that AA has a better attitude that those of the legacy US. I have never dealt with such a group of individuals that have such an entitlement, “you owe me attitude” than I have with that group of people. I recall meeting people right after that announcement years ago and the first thing I was told was how long they had been employed and what the company owes them and how they got screwed. I often wondered, “Why did you stay”? I still haven’t figured that out.

That attitude exist because of the underhanded way the company gets those concessions. There is NO bargaining in good faith. There is only the AA/TWU conglomerate and the company using "bankruptcy of convenience" to break contract.

AWA replaced the computers in legacy US and we tried to donate them (the old ones)… nobody would take them because they were so out of date, and we never got a thank you.

Again, I do not know where you are going with this.

I have read this board for a good many years was more of a lurker than a contributor, only been a member for a short while, but something here got me going. Ya know when you have someone that has over 11,000 posts on a single board flames someone for asking a simple question that is just wrong.

Bob is not just "someone", he is a TWU local president. One of the few we have that seem worth having.

I guess the entitlement that is legacy US is in AA too, that is a shame, I would expect more from this quality airline. Right now my paycheck says USAirways, in time it will say AA and when the announcement comes about the merger, I will be proud to wear the AA badge, much more than USAirways. I work for a living, I figure that I put in a good days work for USAirways, and at the end of the day USAirways gives me a good days pay. We were even. I have helped every single group that I listed above, made sure that Pilots/Mechanics had the best computer systems that we could supply, often at the risk of my own job, why, because they needed it to do theirs.

I think it is peculiar you claim you would be proud to wear the AA badge when you have not worked one day for AA. I suppose you feel "entitled" to dictate to the current workforce how they should feel about their employer.

I live in the world of reality, no grey; it’s either black or white right or wrong.

Only a fool deals in absolutes.

I know that this is going to be a hard pill for long time AA people to swallow, I accept that, and am sympathetic to it. AA is a proud airline and there is no wing clipping here, and I am really glad to be a part of it. I just ask one favor…give us a chance. I am not a chief, just a worker bee, but a damn good one and I do care. So Mr. 11,000 posts on a forum, unless you have done what I have done, be fair, and most important be honest.

What exactly is it you have done?

Crazy Daytripper

I'm sorry that people here are treating you so badly...

I can only shake my head....

To you I say... Don't let us - sauer and jaded people - get you down....

I welcome and appreciate your enthusiasm...

Dude,....get ready for some serious internet flaming, the naiveness you exhibit will need alligator thick skin to survive in life and more importantly at AA as it is literally a jungle at AA and about as un-employee friendly a work place to work,....words have no meaning to actually describe it. But I welcome you if and when you join are ranks just remember this post

WOW... and I thought US Airways (owned and operated by America West) was bad....

Dude... you have no clue how bad things are at US.... especially on the AWA side of things...

If you say that things are that bad at AA, then I guess that this merger is just a match made in heaven...

I can't wait for all the AWA folks touting how they saved AA from going out of business.... They'll say that AA was just days away from shutting down...

Ahhhh.... all the fun that comes with mergers.... all over again... how exiting these next few years are gonna be - unimaginable...

trust me, its bad,......these posts are a very small microcosm and if anything "polite" compared to what is said on the floor and in break rooms,....

Yepper on to new horizons! I am a fourteen year employee of Airlines starting with AWA, . AWA replaced the computers in legacy US and we tried to donate them (the old ones)… nobody would take them because they were so out of date, and we never got a thank you.

Fourteen years? Come back after 30, a few rifs and a few paycuts. Who were you expecting to thank you for doing your job? Guess what, maybe you haven't figured it out yet but reality isn't digital, its not just on/off, black/ white or, right/wrong, theres plenty of grey, and a spectrum of colors in between. You want a fair days pay it requires more than a fair days work.
