What's new

Hows Hawaii service lately?

WOW! Real airline employees don't attack their fellow workers with that type of "spit in your face east" employees. The employees at USAirways have operated for decades in some of the most difficult weather in the U.S. 10"s of thousands of flights. We use more de-icing fluid every year than HP uses jet fuel!!!

Thank goodness they stopped the flight crew in MIA or you may have had your first fatality...what a moron!!!

Not only was it rude, it was down right mean.

Many people have lost loved ones and friends to this business over the years, and to make that kind of comment is un excusable.

It's true, it was rude and mean and I don't even know what I was thinking when I typed it in. I'm very sorry, but I was upset with Legacy-to-Lcc's response to me and I didn't appreciate it. She was very rude to me first, but I know i shouldn't have been reactive and I apologize.

Wow! On behalf of the West flight attendants, sorry about those comments!

There are many of us out here in the west that still believe service is a part of our job.

I remember when we used to perform "East type" service and it was wonderful. I can understand the feelings from the East. It is a change of mind to get used to the buy on board.

I don't think passengers sit around and think "you know, those AWA flight attendants sure are safe"!

It truly is possible to be safe and friendly and offer the best service you can with the tools you have.

no, we play HOT OR NOT?

I have already apologized and I said I was sorry, what else do you want me to do?
Ok, apology accepted. Just don't let it happen again. 😛 I think it takes a pretty big person to admit when they are wrong. Congratulations you win a prize from the Snack Basket!!!!! Ok back to the HA flights.

Thanks for the retraction  Remember we're all in this together - like it or not. I know the new service may be bumpy right now, but I'm sure the west people will make it great service.

I just worked a Maui flight and it was great NOT one complaint...EVERYONE slept on the flight home..we only served a few bev's on our first service out..NO delays..

How does the turn in Hawaii work? Do the flight/inflight crews return the same day?

No - Lucky us - all layovers are 32-33 hours long.......mai tai anyone??? 😛

Don't kid yourself... "east type service" has been the same or less than HP service for some time now. At least HP still has glasses in F/C! Has HP ever served BOB in F/C as a Transcon meal (which I was subjected to on US while paying transcon F fares several times)? The "west type service" may actually be an upgrade.
