TWU contract
Section 13d
Page 13-1

Technically the IAM is right

You have to stay in your current position for 1yr. The exception is if it's a promotion......................
This language protects the station/company/employees from people bouncing all around...........

"Give Ups
1. COC- This is a big give up. It will boost wages to $21.43 upon merger, and up to 26hr and the highest paid in the industry after just a few short years." So now are we willing to give this up .......? I for one am not as it would be profane and an injustice to all fleet service workers who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

I know other posters also agreed from these previous posts.

"The COC language came with a price of many workers who lost their jobs. I'll be damned if the COC language is removed, especially when everyone knows mergers are going to happen this year."

"Most importantly because of industry consolidation the COC language MUST STAY in the contract and be enhanced, merger protection increased, including no layoffs."

I do not want to flip like a pancake before the negotiating even starts. Come on.........

My understanding is that the company approved it. And that
the IAM was the hang up. Mabey I'm wrong. I know the TWU
contract says one year. Maybe I need to do some more research.
Thanks for the info BF

Both, yew ‘n Canale… can pat yerselves on tha back fer polarizin’ 'n solidifyin’
this Fleet Service group, to ahh level that is unprecedented!

We comin’ tahh git ya’ll in June !

I don't think you've ever admitted that you're part of this injustice. You're now out of the liars' club. Congradulations!

Sidebar #25: Maybe this should be a new thread but it has
to do with the IAM so here goes. FS employee Y transfers
from LAS to SAN 7 months ago. Things don't work out for
him here so he puts in to go back. This is approved by mgt
but it is stopped by the IAM. According to them only east
employees can transfer before a year is up.

Does anybody have any suggestions? DF?
to give you PAST PRACTICES, technically they are right you must stay in a station for 1 yr before tranferring, however if you take a promotion, ie team lead or to go from PT to FT it is waived. There has also been circumstances where if an employees family member becomes gravely ill and needs to be taken care of the TWU always let the transfer through. when TWU was around the company was the hang up and we resolved most however i have heard of this happening quite recently in the california stations and the IAM is prohibiting it from happening its a benefit to the employee i cant believe they are holding union members hostage. Another reaspn newdirection08 will prevail.

they do, but it use to not be a problem, and from what Im being told these latest transfers are being held up from the unions stance.

Does anybody know if the union and the company are scheduled to talk anytime soon? I heard april 1,2,and 3. Any truth to this, because there are no updates on the iam141 website. Maybee it's supposed to be a secret. Like everything else the iam does with the company..... Just trying to confirm the rumors. Anybody know?

Oman,

Top of the page before you...... :bleh: :mf_boff: :bleh:

PJ
There are flyers up on the IAM bulletin boards in CLT stating that there are talks scheduled for Apr. 1, 2, and 3rd.

I think everyone is busy reloading getting ready for the next BS TA!!!!!!
Bingo!
I have been coordinating the network of solidarity which now includes all stations [east and west] with the exception of a few [less than 10].

FORGET the profit sharing … honestly , just forget it …. We’re not going to be making much in the way of profit for the next few years anyways , please oh please NC trade away the profit sharing for a higher hourly wage .
