hp-csr-phx,
Six Arizona companies earned their way onto the new Fortune 500 list -- two more firms than last year.
My numbers were for 2007. 4, 6, 9 the point is still PHX doesn't have enough business here to get high revenue ticket prices, whereas ORD, LAX, SFO, PHL, CLT and DEN have more Fortune 500 businesses which pay higher revenues. AWA's problem was always that PHX and LAS were our main hubs and they are known as recreation or vacation hubs or translation.......cheap fares.
Look at where most of the Fortune 500 companies are and you will see the major carriers with big hubs. DFW/DAL has AA and LUV, IAH has CO, etc., etc.
Respectfully,
P. REZ
