hp-csr-phx,

Six Arizona companies earned their way onto the new Fortune 500 list -- two more firms than last year.

My numbers were for 2007. 4, 6, 9 the point is still PHX doesn't have enough business here to get high revenue ticket prices, whereas ORD, LAX, SFO, PHL, CLT and DEN have more Fortune 500 businesses which pay higher revenues. AWA's problem was always that PHX and LAS were our main hubs and they are known as recreation or vacation hubs or translation.......cheap fares.

Look at where most of the Fortune 500 companies are and you will see the major carriers with big hubs. DFW/DAL has AA and LUV, IAH has CO, etc., etc.

Respectfully,

You all should've voted this out.

WHY ?

So we could have continued in poverty for the next few years ? So I could watch my fellow fleet service co workers get furloughed under the 60 day rule ? So I could enjoy watching our economy decline and have a harder time negotiating in 2010 ?

No thank you .

Freedom:
I guess you just don't read you are probably not going to have a job. Even you do many of your coworkers won't. So enjoy your "newfound" wealth.

HAHAHA

Your still bitter EH ?

Still wishing me out of job ?

Many of us are a bit more optimistic here in PHX

GEEEZ relax , there hasn’t even been an announcement of a merger with united , I hear talk that goes all OVER the spectrum , from it COULD happen to it could now NOT happen .

Everything aside , in a merger to downsize , there are going to be furloughs , these things are going to happen , as I pointed out only too late in the vote , the TWU scope wasn’t even strong enough to protect our CMH hub from being downsized , as I stated then and continue to state , there’s nothing that’s going to protect us from downsizing ..All that we can do is hope that the downsizing that takes place occurs fairly .

The COC wasn’t going to save you , your lousy scope wasn’t going to save you , and the TWU scope wasn’t going to save you or me …

As far as this vote this vote goes… I hate to be a self proclaimed predictions expert… But… remember my post regarding this Tentative Agreement several weeks ago...
These Transition Negotiations were weakened, due to the avoidance of section 6, per the Railway Labor Act as afore mentioned.
Now the question is… whom/who.... was/is at fault in this oversight?
Perhaps… some entity, with special interest within United Airlines?
I need feed back Members…voice your opinion!

Roa,
Canale has NEVER negotiated a contract at US AIRWAYS using section 6. He has signed 5 TA's where all he does is extend bankruptcy terms. We're coming for him......soon enough.

OR

A merger would be great , I can see a lot of benefits … but if united’s investors want to lose all of their hundreds of millions of dollars I won’t lose any sleep .. You don’t want the management team that will not only MAKE you more money but keep your current investment from going belly up ? FINE , our company US AIRWAYS has more than enough money to weather the storm , and a few years from now when your forced to close your doors we’ll just buy your routes and planes from the auction house ..

Which scenario do you choose to believe in this time?

OR

Which scenario do you choose to believe in this time?

you know what i belive ..

If our company is going to have a good chance at living then we NEED to merge with united , i can't say if it will happen or not , but i hope it doe.

Hey Tim , where is Chris L , on the new direction team ? I don’t see him for the VP WEST ?

Also why are there so many people from united ?

Personally I’m voting US AIRWAYS straight down the line , if any union official is from US airways then their getting my vote irregardless of new direction or current team .

I hope you can run real fast, cause reality is just behind you ready to bite you in the back end! Also, I hope I am wrong, this YES vote is not good for anyone, sept canoly and tha company.

Don't know which way you believe....Does the company have tons of money to survive the economy? Or is the sky falling economically like you so many times have suggested?

I've been thinking of a plan to get all of us more money and bring back the 60 day guys ASAP ... because hey face it , if this thing offically passes then we're all on the same side ... i can't talk to you about what i'm thinking though until i know for certain that we have an offical yes ... but to all of my east brothers , hang in there , there's hope for you yet!

BTW, shouldn't you be working on your master plan right now?

i'm working on it ... 😛h34r:

p.s , what i write in the UNITED threads is meant to sway any people from united or investors who might read it ... while we could make it on our own , we could also fail , i think it's SAFER to be with united than without ..
