Hey Road...where's the convention being held this year...Also hows MC.?

Mike the location is the same as last year. The cost factor played a big part in the decision to return to Las Vegas. The room cost for the local lodges allows more delegates to participate (overall delegate numbers are up) in the convention 18 delegate committees that will discuss and direct the District for the next year.

Also I have not spoken to MC recently but do know he has had some private family issues which he is attending to....

Regards

Am I the only one that thinks these Fleet Service tests have got out of hand & is there anything that we can do about them ?

This hazmat thing is WAY out of control.

The FAA requires the DG training and is specific regarding what it has to include.

Try doing all those tests multiple times for multiple airlines. One 143 page iLearning is a piece of cake after that. Even the GSC one is 181 pages.

BC,

Glad to see MF representing CLT. We have traveled a long way since 08, and there are still many miles of ‘road’ ahead. At least we have the right folks in the driver’s seat!

See yahh when yahh git back tahh CLT!

This is to any or everyone that has the answer as far as their station goes. When there is a shift bid concerning the parttime agents, does your station allow back to back parttime shifts? Meaning if you have p/t's working 0800 - 1200 on the ramp, could you have the next p/t shift starting at 1200, 1230, or 1300? Before hp started running the circus we would always have a 2 hour gap between p/t shifts so that the 2 shifts couldn't be considered a fulltime shift. Help is needed on this one folks, in my station there are only 1/2 hour and 1 hour gaps between the p/t shifts. P/t's are being cheated out of fulltime status because of this.

Rogue.....

What does the CBA permit? Contact your shop steward, Grievance Committee or AGC, that is a better way to address it instead of a message board, that is why those people are in positions to help you and that is why you pay dues.

One hour here in LAS to "eliminate" overlap. I think two hours is better, but whatever it is it MUST BE CONSISTENT station to station!!!
