Well honestly...

No... I've never been! When you live down here... I guess you take some things for granted. I would certainly recommend coming to CLT and driving over there. Lexington is just up 85 and 52... not far at all. I'm providing a link below.

does anyone know the lowest date of hire at LAS with PT and FT? i heard there were some being recalled and i am doing my second interview with another airline. not sure how far down has gone the company with LAS. Wish it was online to see myself. dont want to start another just to quit soon after.

Offhand I don't know exactly, but I'll give you some guesses. FT about 2001-2002 and PT maybe 2004. I'll try to find out the correct answer though.

please remember that if you go to another airline last hired = first fired ....

If your displaced from LAS and have family there then that has to seriously suck , but job security has to come before anything ...

I was hoping for some news here. Moving isnt a option and not sure possible as I have stuff in life happening in Vegas. So i need to look elsewhere and maybe callback later to ramp.

Over two weeks and no help from the IAM or even fellow ramp agents in LAS? Next lifetime go work for East first, because as you are West, no one cares about you. IAM motto should be "East Now, East Tomorrow, East Forever!" They appreciated your dues, but since you aren't paying now you can pound sand. Clear skies with your next employer!

Here is a Charlotte issue.(Tempe are you reading ?) Charlotte managers are telling employees that they are NOT going to take care of Workbrain issues when it screws up & we all know that happens way to many times. They are mainly speaking of clock in times which is my understanding. This issues needs to be addressed. If not I bet the Dept. of Labor would take care of it.

My Dearest Mister Roabilly,

I am gobsmacked by my negative forty-seven rating! I operate with the assumption there would be no such thing as bad publicity, unless it is one's own obituary as a wag once mused. Nor would I believe that even the most profound prophets to be accepted or even liked, but more likely rather to be loathed and rebuked. However, there will need to be greater minds than mine to determine my own degree of profundity and mirth.

Curious in what you call "divide and conquer" fails to answer the issue with the historic slights of the East dominated IAM. Who can forget the forlong "Seasons Beatings" from a holiday ass-whipping by the IAM on the TWU members in the City of Brotherly Love? The many personal attacks against the PHX representative because he was with the former TWU? How about even the graven indifference to the reasonable requests of my personal friend and former IAM member, CPH, who asked a simple, yet important question? Strangely how you overlook these problems sweeping them away like torn bag tag caught in a jet blast of banal obfuscation by calling me to task instead of a closer inspection of the East actions and the IAM's inactions.

You question my 'creditabiity' because I dare to challenge many of your underlying assumptions as to personal financial security, for which should be a concern to every worker and the New Direction's empty promises of being different than the last cabal? Would I be more "creditable" if I allowed my IAM blinders to keep me from doing anything but pay my dues and obey to the Poobahs of the Proletariate? I suspect that is your idea of a 'good union member'... ask nothing and do what we tell you to do, right?

And finally, what pray tell would you do with my book number? Have a midnight card check at my home after the bars let out?

from the west. That's got to be one of the most IGNORANT statements you have said in along time. Has your "friend" talked to the GC chair. I was told by my GC along time ago that LAS folks had the information

Dear Blown,

I spoke with CPH this morning and no phone numbers were given to those people furloughed from LAS. Not to say the contact numbers were withheld, but it was not as if they were given as part of an information package or even to list to those affected.

Now are you suggesting some sort of confidentially would be breached with the initials of the lowest seniority and their DOH in a public forum, as if akin to releasing Social Security numbers and mother's maiden name? The seniority list is readily available to the hundreds of people working on the ramp or management, including the names and the DOH, so I would hardly consider this to be some highly confidential list. Furthermore, as you are all worried about this public forum, maybe a PM then?

So let's see your worse case scenario of a privacy violation... the GC announces to the world that "X.X." with a DOH of 01/01/2001 has the lowest seniority in LAS? SOMEONE ALERT THE MEDIA!

Are you done making excuses for this union's incompetency and indifference?
