You cant use union funds for campaigning, ask Ron Carey from the IBT about that.
agree, nonetheless, someone needs to ask BW why those 3 are off the clock, and who's paying them, when it is outside what is normal and customary, especially with the nomination period lurking.

Grasping at straws again Tim! Face facts, nothing is illegal here, it just bothers you that you are not in that 100K club!

No one said it is illegal, but BW the Pres and WC the Sec-Tres have a fiduciary responsibility not waste dues money on people sitting around doing nothing.

They all swore an oath to the IAM Constitution and the membership has the right to know who is paying them and why they are off the clock.

Tim,
Why is it that when the phrase "Duty of Fair Representation" comes up, everyone pro I'll Ask Management runs and hides. When you ask about section 6 negotiations for the west, it turns out to be to "costly". Who exactly needs to file a DFR. Can it be anybody, or does it have to be a west represented, well I should say non-represented employee?

That was hilarious and I take it as humor.

The resume for being in Canale's $100 club includes work as altar boys and complete castration to become a eunich. See PF for that.

I will confess to my following actions:
1. taking the district floor and putting out a motion to cut Canale's pay
2. Participation in organizing a competing ticket against Canale in 2002
3. Participation in bringing 'successful charges' against Canale with the DOL and DOJ in 2003.
4. Busting on Canale 'man to man' in front of his whores at the last Local chairman meeting I attended in PIT, 2003 I think.
5. Participating in putting together 'the new directions slate' against Canale this year.

and many others. I don't think that is something one does if he wants to be a member of the $100,000 club.

Interesting enough, I'm not the only one. Ask Ed Milson, Greg Bonar, Dave Lolly what it takes and my bet is they will tell you that you have to become a total eunich to be welcomed into Canale's $100,000 club. Also look at PF and you will see what it makes of a man.

Now go over and ring those bells and be a good altar boy. Your time will be up.....'soon enough.'

it must be a west sider. I will put forth my own time to assist in writing the DFR, etc if a fleet service west sider wanted to file it. The DFR is simple, since the TWU triggered the duration article with its opening section 6 [read twu agreement], the section 6's now become a part of the TWU contract and the IAM had a fiduciary duty to continue this. That didn't happen because the IAM sez the company wants a transition. The problem is furthered if the company doesn't want a transition but is just playing the IAM as a fool. I agree that the company wants a transition BUT what if me or the IAM are wrong in our thinking? It has been 2 years and the company hasn't indicated it really wants to be fair with fleet service. To that end, I think section 6's should have been happining alongside transition talks. In conclusion, beliefs and opinions might be wrong so that is why you continue in section 6, you must protect the interest of those you represent and not put your own opinion ahead of that, plus it is a DFR if you cease them like the IAM has.

Tims offering to help do we have a west sider willing to step up to the plate. Freedom how about you? Here is a chance to take a step in the right direction.

The New Directions Team Ticket was announced yesterday and it includes many Greivance Chairs, Local Presidents, and even a few DL141 board members who do a good job.

Freedom,
Apparently it is not "your" union. Your union was the TWU. The I'll Ask Management took over enforcing your CBA. Technically, yes it is your union, but not really. Have they represented you? Have they furthered section 6 negotiations for you? You want to fight but are unwilling to do the "dirty" work. You prefer someone else get their hands dirty, and you just reap the benefits. Is that how it is. Just curious.

No I just wouldn’t want to be wrong … it could look really bad for a person to take legal action against their own union and I just wouldn’t want to be known on the ramp as “that guy “ ,,, you know , good old fashioned peer pressure ...
