757 and 737 C-Checks back in-house also.

Interim Agreement Language

A full agreement has not been met yet, wages and pensions will still be discussed.
Looks like there has been a change of heart by the IAM on the Successorship Grievance.
I am very interested in seeing what the IAM is negotiating in exchange for withdrawing the Successorship Grievance.

i don't believe they gave up the grievance.

The grievance has not been up and is awaiting arbitration.

700, Are you sure about that ?
The first page of the Interim Transition Agreement states ;

WHEREAS, effective September 27,2005, America West Holdings became a subsidiary of US Airways Group Inc.

This language leads me to believe that the IAM is agreeing with the company that AWA was bought out by Usairways.

If this is true, Wouldn't this make the Successorship Grievance worthless ??

I hope that I'm wrong..

US Airways Group is the parent company, it owns AWA and US.

Therefore US Airways group is the owner on paper.

Lets leave it to the lawyers and financial advisors to present the case in arbitration. The NC would not negotiate away the snapback.

Thanks 700, I hope what you say is true.

HORSE HOCKEY!! They would negotiate away their own mother if it would make them more money.

There are GLRs, GCs and regular rank and file members on the NC, please explain to me in great detail how and what they would sell and how they would benefit by dropping the snapback grievance.

By the way it is BS as there has been no discussions nor anything put out by the union nor the company.

Why are you people pulling this out of your rectums?

It's simple 700, Instead of the IAM taking their chances with a decision from a arbitrator,
It doesn't seem too far fetched that this grievance could be negotiated away.

You asked what they would sell ? How about the company agreeing to bring back work inhouse in exchange for dropping the grievance. [Just an example].
