IAM Mech. & related thread

It will take more than just the seniority list to trigger OEI - there are alot of things that have to be put in place at the same time - some of it is no where near getting done.

Per the FINAL TRANSITION AGREEMENT voted in recently page 1 item II "OEI is defined as the time the Mechanic & Related and Stock Clerk Employees of America West and US Airways are integrated into a combined Mechanic & Related workforce, with the application of the combined Mechanic & Related and Stock Clerk seniority list." We have the June 2008 Mechanic & Related seniority list ( US Airways East IAM ) but also have a June 2008 listing that appears to be some form of a combined list with the AWA mech's listed and what might be utility and stock clerks added in. The "combined Mechanic & Related workforce" probably is a long way off, but it appears a list is at hand ready for "application."

There is also scope issues that have to be met
Could be the challange time frame for the "list". Work has been pulled from Ala. Pit has been doing 757 C's and Bridge cks on AWA buses. Clt has been full. Pit has had drop in 737 for Blk head and landing gear. They (73's) had been scheduled for Clt. Pit has also been running a rib 5 line bore (AD) and gear changes. So the 50% of hours should be close. My guess would be the pay role and H/R computer systems. If it works like the rest of the mtc systems ,it could be next contract !!

As of today in PIT, no more drop in 737 Bulkhead Mods, no more drop in 737 landing gear changes or E-190 Mods until the middle of August, at the earliest. Daylight and Afternoon line to be farmed to Heavy Maintenance every day until future notice. Midnight shift to follow as workload dictates.

Our days are numbered here. The west is looking a little better right about now.
