The "children of God, dwellers of the valley of the sun" are going to offer one last olive branch...and if it is refused, we are going to beat the living daylights out of the east with it.

"...are going to offer one last olive branch.." Oh....Really? What have you got in mind? 😉

"...and if it is refused, we are going to beat the living daylights out of the east with it."
Well...as I steel myself to attempt even a futile defense against an overwhelming assault from "one last olive branch"( and only to seek the decent granting of my, no doubt, last wish here): Would it be fair to even ask about when/how/where ANY previous "olive branches" were EVER offered from the west? 😉

Jacobs has convinced the westerners to continue funding his jihad. Nic4 is like a Herbalife cross with Amway speculator. He continues to believe the promise of money for nothing. the claims of hybrids and millions is extremely old.

I fund it because it's the right thing to do given what usapa was and is trying to accomplish. It had and has to be done from my perspective. I'm under no illusions of what 'damages' usapa or the company would ever have to cough up as a result of a hybrid. My guess is squat. That's ok, that's not why I fund Leonidas.

Understood, and that, unlike any fantasized "billions" in damages, makes reasonable sense to me.

Well lets see..the West supported pay parity...worked with the east on the coast to coast campaign...forfeited our section 6 rights to do a joint contract.....

Then the east dumped all over us and we maintained the high ground...fought off the RICO suit...did not seek criminal prosecution of the scabs running the corrupt union...

Oh, then we tried to enlighten the east with some literature mailed to their home addresses and were once again assailed with the threat of criminal prosecution, demands for termination etc....

We have learned a lesson on the West...never... ever...ever trust an east scab. BTW...you were a big cheerleader in the fire Scherff, Ferguson, Holmes camp...and just like scab Cleary..had no idea how Leonidas obtained the info. It was actually usapa and their scab leadership that cost the company a couple million making a mountain out of mole hill...and look where the three West pilots are today...back at work with full back pay...you think usapa got that for them?

Ya know there are still West pilots denying certain individual east scabs jumpseat? Can't say I blame them..these scabs have filed false accusations against West pilots that they said they observed while riding on West metal jumpseats. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Snitching on a fellow pilot and making up the accusation to intentionally try to get the guy disciplined or fired.

Ya know, the more I think about it....I am going to voice my opinion to the AOL reps that no compromise, no mercy, no olive branch, is the approach to take. Turnabout is fair play...seek terminations for the top scabs, file RICO against the corrupt union (treble damages), screw the bump and flush....we want the money and leave the scab union to the company's whims.

Mutual support on the West is all we got...thanks.

But here is on for you skynard......right now, who does the company worry about more...the scab union that is parked and under injunction...or the West pilot class.

I think it is the West pilot class...otherwise, they would have simply went along with usapa after the 9th ruled and moved forward.

They did not..they filed the DJ because they need cover from the West... If all the West had was "hey its all water under the bridge..lets just forget the whole thing happened and move forward"...the company would not even bother.

The company got a pass from Wake...they know it..they will be on the receiving end of any damages award if they go along with usapa, and those damages are bankruptingly huge now. Forget about the 1.3 billion LCC owes Citigroup....LCC is toast if they collude with the scabs and they know it.

[sup]With a Special MEC Update for Friday, July 30, 2010, this is [/sup]
[sup] MEC Chairman Capt Wendy Morse.[/sup]
[sup] [/sup]
[sup]" />[/sup][/center]
[sup][font=Verdana]Dear Fellow Pilots, [/font][/sup]
[sup] [/sup]
[sup][font=Verdana]Today your MEC convened via conference call to consider the Transition and Process Agreement (T&PA) presented at the MEC meeting last week by Captain Jay Heppner, Chairman of the UAL-MEC Negotiating Committee. After careful consideration and deliberation your MEC ratified the agreement. The agreement does not require ratification by the membership as it does not constitute a major change in pay and working conditions and will now become an LOA.[/font][/sup]
[sup] [/sup]
[sup][font=Verdana]The Transition and Process Agreement was the result of quadrilateral negotiations among the joint negotiating committees (JNCs) of UAL-ALPA, CAL-ALPA, UAL, and CAL, and is the preliminary step in the process of achieving a joint collective bargaining agreement (JCBA) that will determine the pay and working conditions for all pilots employed by the merged airline. As such, this Agreement accomplishes the following:[/font][/sup]
[sup] [/sup][list]
[*][sup][font=Verdana]It specifies that the managements of Continental and United intend to complete the operational merger of the airlines [size="6"]no later than the first half of 2012[/size].[/font] [/sup]
[list]
[*][sup][font=Verdana]It preserves the status quo, preventing Continental and United from shifting assets from one airline to another prior to the completion of the merger.[/font] [/sup]
[list]
[*][sup][font=Verdana]It provides furlough protection for all pilots on the property as of May 2nd, 2010, the date of the merger agreement.[/font] [/sup]
[list]
[*][sup][font=Verdana]It requires that, if either airline recalls its furloughed pilots and hires new pilots, that airline must offer jobs to the furloughed pilots of the other airline in seniority order.[/font] [/sup]
[list]
[*][sup][size="4"][font=Verdana]It lays out a very rapid timeline for completion of the JCBA, with negotiations set to start on or about August 10[sup][size="3"]th[/size][/sup], 2010, with the intent of completion eight weeks later, on October 5[sup][size="3"]th[/size][/sup], 2010.[/font][/size][/sup]
[/list]
[sup] [/sup]
[sup][font=Verdana]The overall success of the merger is very much contingent on the upcoming JCBA process. If management is serious about completing the merger in such short order, then its negotiators must be genuinely prepared to resolve our concerns. An eight-week time frame does not leave any time for posturing. In short, management must learn to say “yes”. [size="4"]The ALPA JNC is fully ready and prepared for the JCBA negotiations[/size]. [/font][/sup]
[sup] [/sup]
[sup] [font=Verdana]If you have any questions concerning the Transition and Process Agreement, your Local Council officers are briefed and prepared to answer them.[/font][/sup]

Former West Mec leader John Mcllvenna was totally against the Kirby proposal from the start, the West posters try to claim it was a good deal. After USAPA was voted in and the nic was shitcaned little Johnny complains it was only USAPA that did not want it.

AAA-AWA MEC Joint Chairman’s Message

January 31, 2008

Fellow America West and US Airways pilots,

Today, the AAA and AWA Steering Committees and their respective merger and
negotiating teams will begin talks about the issues separating our pilot groups in
order to produce a comprehensive contract counter proposal for both MECs to
review. As we have said in the past, any comprehensive proposal must adequately
address seniority implementation issues
and all open JNC issues for both pilot
groups.

The Steering Committees are meeting at a neutral site, and to give this process
the best chance for success, both sides have agreed to a communications blackout
during this time. As a result of this policy, our pilots should understand that any
hearsay information floating around is unsubstantiated, and should be treated as
rumor only.

If the AAA and AWA Steering Committees are able to successfully produce a
comprehensive contract counterproposal, it will first be reviewed by both MECs. If
both MECs approve the final product, JNC negotiations would resume with
management as we counter the infamous “Kirby proposal” that we received on
May 8, 2007.

If a TA is achieved through joint negotiations and is subsequently approved by
both MECs it will be sent to each pilot group for ratification. The rank and file
members of this union will be the ultimate arbiters of any agreement.
There is much at stake here for both pilot groups. None of your union volunteers
takes the challenges ahead of us lightly. Your MEC leadership and the Steering
Committees all appreciate your patience while we work through these very
difficult issues.

Fraternally,
Captain Jack Stephan
Chairman, AAA MEC

Captain John McIlvenna
Chairman, AWA MEC

Follow the three-prong approach, and fly safe.

Hi everyone--can't find where to post on new topic. I've been gone so long don't know where to write stuff and was shocked I remembered my password. Enjoying retirement, but lost my Dad in 2005 and my Mom just last year so haven't been up to speed here.
Thanks to all those who got me to my Mom in time to be with her when she went to heaven. I was so nervous and scared and you all helped me get through the 24 hours it took me to get there. Thanks so much.
Now, what's going on with this merge?? Saw something on the news tonight about USAirways being a creditor of American. Someone please keep me posted as my retirement benefits mean much more to me now than ever before. Thanks and you're all doing a great job.

Are you so bored you have to make stuff up troll? The west has NEVER said the Kirby was acceptable. Go back and read usapa updates they the the ones worried about the Kirby passing. It was the AA MEC that refused to let the Kirby go to a vote it was the east that walked away from from JNC.

I will say it again, the Kirby is unacceptable. Is that clear enough even for your thick skull?

Let me add one more thing before you start making stuff up again.

THE CURRENT TERM SHEET FOR THE APA DEAL IS UNACCEPTABLE ALSO. The terms on that sheet suck for the west pilots.

Is that clear enough for you?

No news here...

The post merger USAirways..i.e. LCC the corporation formed when AWA bought US...bought back its stock warrants from the ATSB...and the taxpayer made their share on the deal.

So, everybody got paid except the pilots and flight attendants because the process was hijacked by a scab union.

Thanks for the supporting evidence Luv.
