July - US Pilots Labor Discussion

THE CURRENT TERM SHEET FOR THE APA DEAL IS UNACCEPTABLE ALSO. The terms on that sheet suck for the west pilots.

Is that clear enough for you?

And that means...SQUAT. Watch the PHX crew news. Management doesn't care WHAT you think. You and me and the rest of us are going on AA Green Book and that's that. Nothing in this world we can do about it. That injunction you cheered for made sure of that.

[sup]Yo Jetz,[/sup]

[sup][font=Minion Pro Cond']With a Special MEC Update for Friday, July 30, 2010, this is [/font][/sup]
[sup][font=Minion Pro Cond']MEC Chairman Capt Wendy Morse.[/font][/sup]
Honestly my friend, you have a real problem. What's with you fascination with UAL?
Is there some point you are trying to make? If so, please elaborate. I fail to understand the connection between our situation and a UAL MEC update from 2 years ago.

Unless it is just to point out the painfully obvious fact that every management loves to ignore it's self-imposed deadlines when negotiating with labor. (Except for DAL apparently.)

And by the way, as an interested follower of industry trends, my prediction is that UAL will have a finished contract and SLI long before we resolve our debacle. They may have to be released by the NMB to a cooling off period to get it done, but they are at the one yard line of a DAL-like contract, where we are still fighting over who won the coin toss. All I know is that my caboose is hitched to THIS train (wreck). If UA is so important to you, I'm sure they will be hiring again soon. I heard within a year UAL will retire one pilot every 18 HOURS on average. In my opinion, anyone with more than 10-12 years to go should apply to UAL or DAL.

Just love to get a rise out of our friend "Jetz" that's all, you might have come to the party late when he was bragging how UAL and CAL would have such an easy merger because they were two ALPO carriers, and our friend Jetz has a place on two seniority lists one at US and one at UAL, other that don't really care. hope I answered your question.

nic4us:"...are going to offer one last olive branch.."

We have learned a lesson on the West...never... ever...ever trust an east scab.

Ya know there are still West pilots denying certain individual east scabs jumpseat?

Ya know, the more I think about it....I am going to voice my opinion to the AOL reps that no compromise, no mercy, no olive branch, is the approach to take.

Sigh!....That's quite the "olive branch" indeed 😉 Seriously; you would do well to reduce your stress levels a bit. The amount of rabid froth and bile issuing forth falls a bit short of indicating a healthy emotional or even physical balance......just sayin'....Take Care/etc

Pretty much so.

THE CURRENT TERM SHEET FOR THE APA DEAL IS UNACCEPTABLE ALSO. The terms on that sheet suck for the west pilots.

So then; exactly what are the mighty AOL and their Knights who say Nic going to do about that? The only union involved here is one you tried/try to undermine or destroy at every chance, and the moronic thrashing of pom poms for the company's glorious injunction still echoes throughout the land. My understanding is that the west's enthusiasm for said injunction even went so far as providing information in support of getting it...? "The terms on that sheet suck for the west pilots."...? Well....I'm all ears as to what you feel should be done....or even why any among the actual majority of the pilots, ie; the evil easties, should now even care.....?

So explain why any pilot should continue to pay dues to such an ineffectual union. And cheering for an injunction is quite different from being so stupid as to be slapped by one.

As said injunction contains yourself and all west pilots.....well.....I'd have to note that you're also "slapped by one". I'll leave just how "different" the degree and quality of "stupid" is in "cheering for an injunction", versus "being.....slapped by one" (which you were as well), to those with evidently, far more subtle....ummm....."minds". 😉

Sounds pretty pathetic to me, on your part.

I may be late to the party, but you don't read well. I told you the other day that I actually had coffee with him last year in Terminal 7 at JFK. How or why would he have a US seniority number if he is an active UA pilot. You make no sense as usual. And you seem to care more about him than he cares about you. Get over it already.

From my conversation with him, I don't think he cares much about your opinion or any individual's opinion enough to get a rise out of him. He seemed more concerned about precedent and how our situation might have an affect on binding arbitration. Much the same way I'm interested in how DAL's contract and any pending UAL contract might affect our chances of a raise and some basic improvements in work rules.

Your professional fate is sealed and you can't wash your hands of it. You had your part in it too. It's AAs green book or find another job.

Checkmate.

Your way to serious, this board is just for entertainment why are you so worked up about it. you can see I got a rise out of you, hence entertainment and yes this whole board is pathetic.

I agree our fate is sealed. Disagree that the west had a part in it. It was the east that demanded something in arbitration you were never going to get. It was the east that walked away from JNC talks. It was e east that formed a union to steal from the west. I is the east that refuses to accept binding arbitration.

Yet when this deal was first announced the east pilots were pissing all over themselves excited about a redo and a great contract.

Why do you think that our fate is sealed and we are going to green book?

Because usapa and you east pilots have screwed up Parker's deal and he was not going to let you do it again. Parker found himself a new majority that he can work with unlike usapa.

My point was no one on the west thought the Kirby was a good deal. Usapa is incapable of even getting a deal and the APA deal is not good but the best we are going to get.

Usapa screwed the pooch on the whole union thing. We are all going to pay the price for east pilot greed.

Disagree that the west had a part in it.

What a complete surprise! 😉

cleardirect: "We are all going to pay the price for east pilot greed" Gee! Whatever so quickly happened to: "You can live on LOA93 forever!" ?..and now it's all suddenly "east pilot greed"?...Not to mention the interesting notion that, somewhere along the line, there magically sprang into existence some/ANY concept of a collective "We" in your mind...? 😉 Such as yourself unfailingly afford continual amusement....

What's with you fascination with UAL?

Either a UAL pilot slept with his wife, or he failed his interview at UAL and ended up on the east with no other options. Probably still crying that he never got to fly one of their 747's.

Is there some point you are trying to make?
Of course not. He's a flame bait artist. Nothing but a coward. Just hoping Jetz might comment so he can cry another river about other people "always meddling."

Plain stupidity if you ask me. He's not smart enough to keep his head down after he was thrashed last week and his attack backfired.

I suggest ignoring the buffoon. No need to feed his mental illness.
