Honestly my friend, you have a real problem. What's with you fascination with UAL?
Is there some point you are trying to make? If so, please elaborate. I fail to understand the connection between our situation and a UAL MEC update from 2 years ago.
Unless it is just to point out the painfully obvious fact that every management loves to ignore it's self-imposed deadlines when negotiating with labor. (Except for DAL apparently.)
And by the way, as an interested follower of industry trends, my prediction is that UAL will have a finished contract and SLI long before we resolve our debacle. They may have to be released by the NMB to a cooling off period to get it done, but they are at the one yard line of a DAL-like contract, where we are still fighting over who won the coin toss. All I know is that my caboose is hitched to THIS train (wreck). If UA is so important to you, I'm sure they will be hiring again soon. I heard within a year UAL will retire one pilot every 18 HOURS on average. In my opinion, anyone with more than 10-12 years to go should apply to UAL or DAL.
