July - US Pilots Labor Discussion

For any of the West pilots who attended the Meet & Greet with the west attorney's on June 5, did the attorneys have any insight as to when Judge Silver is expected to rule?
Yes, three weeks from now for the last 3 months. That is a quote. Got a laugh.

The final paperworks (an extra filing demanded by usapa) was filed mid March. So we are only 100 days into it. The judge is very busy and she is getting new clerks this summer. Hopefully we will get an answer before they leave or the new clerks will have to redo some of that work.

July 29 will be the two year anniversary of the company filing this law suit.

If usapa would accept the results of binding arbitration we could all move forward. If the judge continues to delay and we are stuck waiting for an AA merger to happen we are all losing out on a new contract.

At this point usapa is in a box. No contract, no negotiations and no chance of improving any of our lives. A few extra upgrades for east pilots does not seem to me to be in the best interests of all us airways pilots.

Status quo of the standoff. I hear on the upgrade front, things are really starting to get cooking. The eastern training unit is gearing up for a lot of work coming up, and many, many upgrades expected. Many to the higher paying equipment.
USAPA is in no box. It prevented the Nicolau from happening, and that is more than worth it for the easterners.

This is my take:

If you think the company is going to cough up a new contract at this stage of the game, you are kidding yourself. They mean to put us on AAs green book and that is that (per S.K. at the PHX Crew News).

If the judge ruled against USAPA today and the merger fell through, we would still be looking at a year or more before we could have even a below industry standard contract. Almost none of the contentious issues were dealt with after months of mediation. No way is the company going to just fork over $80+ million dollars unless they have to.

Wasn't some time in May 2007 the anniversary of the unattainable Nicolau? 5 years........ I guess that is going to happen.

Exactly Driver. Some of the westerners think the company is falling over itself to offer a deal. When the AA deal goes south, the foot dragging will go on and on. There will really be nothing to force their hand after the deal dies. Then AA will drive any and all offers.

He has been driving Nic 4 on the big hot lake, and visiting Fodase. We all know where Fodase is......

I think the moderators should let Fodase come in from the cornfield, he is such a colorful individual, that goat story was the best laugh we had in a long time, all in favor........

This was caught on the CLAXON security cam, think MOV2CLT will be out for awhile! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Ya6z-NlDo

That sounds like a personal problem to me. Let us all know the very first second that the interests of "all" usirways pilots ever truly crosses your mind...see listings under: Who do you think you're kidding here? 😉

Same thing I was doing when I left the last time - SME work for the APA.

And for some of you easties that don't read anything outside of your Hustler magazines, this merger is anything but south. Its still happening and the APA is counting on it.

Just be patient.

And since you're kind of on Claxon's level mentally, why is he so excited about 8/17?

Looking good, Claxon! I thought you were at your mom's at Move's last MIA!

IAm extremely patient, and if US doesn't merge guess who won't live it down.

PS your avatar would go great with my signature!

Move2CLT: That dude has had a hard-on for me for a while and he won't take no for an answer.

And for some of you easties that don't read anything outside of your Hustler magazines, .....

Do those kind of scribblings honestly strike you as perfectly "normal" and proper for public posting?...Whew! You've got some seriously strange "issues" kid. I'd suggest seeking some professional help for them....just sayin'....
