Sounds like we will be having a vote, Teamsters report that they have received well over 35% of cards from USAirEast, wait on all the formalities to play out now, and then lets get rid of the IAM. Otherwise we will all be sayig IAM SCREWED!

it never hurts to keep getting more cards and to think they got over 35% without the furlowed people sending in cards yet. I'm sure the IAM will try and say the numbers are differt then the one the company gave to them.

i went from FLL-CLT on a star allaince 757-200, the tables behind teh seats werent even put on properly, some lights didnt work, seats looked dirt

If you are part of the Mechanic and Related, then read the contract you have and read the contract at the Local 104 web site. You decide if the IBT will be better than the IAM. The Teamsters are dedicated to keeping the jobs you have first. 🙂

It is possible if the company agrees to negotiate. They have said they want to get this over with so they will want to negotiate. Don't tell me about the 60 days before it is amenable, is only when it can be negotiated. That is a lie. Either party has to give a 30 day notice of their interest to re-negotiate. It doesn't have to be in 2009. 🙂
