I'm still shaking my head at these clowns after reading it. This place is in a nose dive. Glad to see this email and calling them out.Our passengers deserve better.

You and I know that if we screwed up that bad we'd be on some kind of level of discipline. What I want to know is....who is responsible.....and what is the company doing about it?

I'm still miffed about my W-2. I just got mine yesterday.

Folks I'm going to let this stand but once again Only moderators are to start labor threads. There was already an AFA thread which is now closed. We do this to avoid dupe topics.

ALL US AFA LABOR ISSUES GO IN THIS THREAD. Do not make it personal as those posts will be deleted & poster subject to suspension.

I am glad that Mike is putting some heat on Dougie. It's about time somebody did! I wish Mike and AFA would take these blunders public by letting the media have a field day with it! Personally, I am sick of these mistakes that management keeps making over and over and NO ONE is being held accountable for their actions. Stupid mistakes like these are to be expected from an upstart airline....not from a company that has been in business for decades!

I'm just curious...were Doreen Welsh, Donna Dent and Sheila Dail affected by these payroll errors on their last check? They have enough anxiety to deal with in the aftermath of Flight 1549...and then they are shorted on their paychecks and their W-2s are all screwed up??

TAKE IT TO THE MEDIA, MIKE!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

It seems to me IMO that the company continues to BREAK what didn't need fixed and neglects to FIX what IS broken. I have never in my life seen such incompetence and no sign of it letting up. I think that letter is one of the best Mike has put out. YOU as an employee get absolutely NO SLACK if it's something the company feels YOU did while they have one screw up after another. Seriously, they could jack up a one car funeral.

Oh come on!

He's fired up about this? Now? Hey Mike, the animals are out of the barn...why bother closing the doors now? What is this a slow news day?

These long ongoing issues need to be addressed in a crew meeting with doug and friends - its faster and you will have an immediate answer mea culpa along with solutions...and then we can all go back to our day jobs.

I have to say i was impressed with this letter also ..but anything else concerning the reserves and the contract..Mike is worthless and yes I am bitter as he once called me to my face.

Speaking of confronting Doug at a crew news session, where in hell ARE the "crew news sessions"? There wasn't one posted on the HUB/WINGS to watch for January and here we are past mid Feb and NOTHING. Are they busy doing something else? 😉 I have seen Mike bring up various issues to Doug during past crew news sessions. It would be nice if he'd bring these issues up to him in a room full of po'd flight attendants.

Feb 25th I guess....in CLT. Stop asking stupid questions and get real. NAIL EM! Don't come with you rubber switchblade...LOL Make them answer and embarrass there answers as lame. Show them for what they are. Frauds.

Ask about the trash bags again! Quite concerning....

Has the company done anything with reserves and the contract- you know the one the majority of flight attendants voted for that is legally binding until Dec. 31, 2011? I love how this is all MF's fault, when we the membership voted in this contract. If memory serves right MF has approached the company many times asking for relief for reserves and the company will NOT budge on it. Why is all the hatred and anger piled onto him? If you want to say its the unions fault, your right because the union which is all of us dues paying members agreed to this and instead of standing together to support these negotiations to make improvements; everyone has drawn their line in the sand. Keep playing into the companies hand we will surely lose.

FYI-not a MF fan myself but blaming him for the company not willing to change anything for the reserves in our current contract is not placing blame where it belongs and is counter productive.

I am mystified as to why anyone even attends these "crew sessions" unless they happen to be held captive during recurrent. I have never seen a bunch of people as masterful at saying nothing. The image of that f/a in Phoenix pleading for help from DP and him verbally walking around her essentially saying zero was enough to turn your stomach. And one of them flew in for that and was ticked she couldn't fly jumpseat while inactive.

This is all unpaid!

US is a company with people who are supposed to do their jobs. Unfortunately the only ones held accountable seem to work somewhere where you can actually touch the airplane. Attending unpaid crew sessions to tell senior management information they should already know if they were doing their jobs strikes me as ridiculous.

If I were MF I would be tracking how long pay discrepancies have been going on and then evaluate whether there are grounds for a class action lawsuit. Courts take a dim view of pay shenanigans. Ask Walmart. Dealing with this management is only effective when it costs them, otherwise they are not responsive until it blows in their face.

One of the things that we should be looking for when and if we get a new contract is the nailing down of if-then situations. If the company fails to pay a flight attendant, THEN he/she shall be paid within three calendar days.

If a soul destroying reserve system is enacted THEN it shall be accompanied by XYZ scheduling system and the reserve ratio can be no more than 10% of active blockholders. If neither of these is in place then no soul destroying reserve system.

AWA management is a whole new breed. It requires a completely different type of defensive tactics and negotiations. It is wayyy past time to learn how to play hardball.

Princess you are quite right. When I hear someone blowing union smoke about what "past practice" has been I wanna scream. This is a whole new ball game. Also the circus that has been going round and round up to now needs to be dealt with with a strong arm. I don't blame MF personally for a contract we work under. The members voted it in regardless of reason, situation or excuse. PERIOD! ! ! ! That being said IMO there is very little attention to the reserves contract being violated left right and sideways on a daily basis. Remember the 24/7 rule? Mmmm hmmmmm Anyway, if the contract was violated against the B/H's as they are the mass of the membership AFA at US would come unglued. Now not splitting groups, we need to stand behind the union and DEMAND that we get the show on the road. Enough BS already.
