If my memory serves me correctly, these are seasonal & happen every year.

These Boston flights are usually suspended every Sep-Oct.. with the exception of BOS-AUA.

I am not 100% sure but I don't think DCA ever had a non stop to FPO.....at least I have never seen it. I know NAS and BDA still run (at least for now)

The usual for DCA would be to cut back to;

DCA-NAS 3-4x per week
DCA-BDA 3x per week

operating both on either Sat or Sun

The BDA gov't pays us extra to operate year round 3 or 4 days per week rather than just seasonal daily from Mar to Oct. Also DCA has never had DCA-FPO. We can only operate into pre cleared customs countries. Unfortunately AUA to too far out of our mileage perimeter.

Nice to know I can still make an escape to Bermuda or Nassau on the weekends and US can get slot exemptions for the perimeter fence easily by giving up some slots.

Yah, US can fly there from DCA as BDA and NAS have CBP pre-clear facilities there. Same is true of certain Canadian airports.

US could fly to FPO if it wanted from DCA (and if it allocated the slots for it), since FPO is a CBP pre-clear airport.

DCA has only 4 out of perimeter slots

PHX 3x daily and LAS 1x daily
These were the 4 slots brought over from HP with the merger. East never had any out of perimeter slots. The FAA thinks that since US already controls 65% of all flights at DCA , they aren't too keen on giving us more.

All US flights, yes, but there are a variety of other airlines flying to other beyond perimeter airports.

I think the perimeter rule was pertaining AUA.
