The company wants to know what we want. I want to know why you want it. What works/what doesn't

Just for there to be ONE thing and stick with it!!! Be it by check-in time or seniority, I could care less- it's a shame we have to wait a year or so to find out how it's going to be. (Although I CAN understand why they're doing it this way...)

I personally don't care how we board--it works out in the end. I've been on both sides of the fence. What I would like is for them to take away the age requirement for Non Dependents. For senior agents it is a heaven sent blessing to be able to call your children--who are over 35--and say--Hey I need some help please go to the airport, pay your money and come help me. No flexies, no passes to give up and your kids are still your kids--even if they do think they're grown up.
There should be some way to bump up your flying status--such as sa1p--if you need to get somewhere and the flight looks terrible. It sure helps flying during peek times. Otherwise our flight bennies are great and one more thing---we all need to be extra kind to our employees. Remember you too might need some help some day.

DOH should work for everybody.

why should it be by DOH? when UW people have far more seniority bthan HP
suck it up and give a little to your co-workers who have already nothing under your seniority.

I would like to see furloughed people and their parents allowed to list and ride on AWA aircraft

Check-in time is the most fair system for everyone. Why should people hire on with the company for travel perks when they will never get a chance to go anywhere? For recruiting and retention purposes, first-come, first-served is the best. Met a guy who used to be with TWA the other day. Said he never was able to get on a flight under their seniority check-in system. Then he became an AA employee (they board by check-in time), and he was finally an on even playing field and able to get on some flights! Keep in mind that retirees with 25+ years of service also board at the same priority as active employees and they will ALWAYS have more seniority - we're talking about 9000 people and growing - how fair is that to people still working?

They said at the beginning of the year furloughed employees will be able to list - Maybe they should look at that since furloughees keep their benfits as long as they are on furlough..

I think it should be a combination of the two. It should be seniority up until 30 minutes prior to SCHEDULED departure time. You come after that, it is first come first serve. The jumpseat policy should be first serve.

Actually, the jumpseat should go back to the US East procedure as of a few years ago. Thirty(30) minutes prior to departure, the F/A jumpseats were given out, in seniority order, after that it went, first come, first serve. That way, you could get on board, stow your bags, and meet the crew(even possibly help if they needed it). It also allowed for you to see if there were any commuters who might like to get off the last leg of their trip. The way it is now sucks. By the time they give the jumpseats out, there is no luggage space, and you are just in the way. So usually the F/A's ask if they can put it in the meal carts or the valet closet(you know the place, the one you just said "no" to the pax in front of the F/A. Perception is pretty important.

I took the early out from the company and was wondering what our status is as far
as boarding. Before the merger I was advised I would be an S4. Does anyone know?
Thank you for the help.

I have a question about registered guests. Are furloughed/involuntary furloughed people allowed to have one?
Does anyone know about this? Thanks.

Sorry, the answer would be No! You cannot have a registered companion while on furlough. I know it sucks, but that is what they are doing. You can have a "domestic" partner however.

Why don't we just have an employe vote? 800 no#, internet, this can happen.
