Ah come on, if you want to play that game, then Pilot Joe who was just hired should be able to fly the A330 instead of only the pilots who have been there for 25 years. Give me a break. Part of the perks of working for a company for many years is that you get better perks. That is what senority is all about. Reward the people who have been there more years than you. If that isn't fair to you, then well, life sucks, get use to it. Your time will come when you get to be at the top of the list. Hell, you HP guys will be more senior than a lot of US guys who have been working in this industry for much longer. Do you think they want to her you b**** about what is unfair? You are talking to the gods of bad luck here. They have gone through hell in this industry.

As I said in an earlier post this is a stupid argument !!! How can you possibly not argue for seniority unless you are very junior. I guess that’s it in a nut shell employees who are junior are the one who will argue for first come serve.
How can expect to get something you have not earned?

So I guess you will be arriving to the airport 5 days early so you can check in or maybe you can call your buddy at the gate to check you in or better yet I will check myself in when I punch in to take a flight out when I’m off. There are so many ways to manipulate your first come first serve policy. But I am not even using that as an argument SENORITY It is all we have left I do not want to surrender it.

Well put....I worked for a company that had first come first serve for non-revs and it was full of schemes and unfairness. You are right....someone's buddy can check them in while they are eating pancakes at home while others are fighting traffic to get to the airport early.
