Read the merger policy. PID at the time of the merger that is all that matters. A/M merger policy at the time of the merger not 5 years ago or 5 years in the future.

A merger with APA with be about a point in time. The happen to be in BK. That is going to be a factor. No one got it wrong you just don't like the situation or the outcome.
MERGER POLICY? ALPA, THEY ARE GONE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ USAPA"S!

MERGER POLICY? ALPA, THEY ARE GONE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ USAPA"S!

Please post the usapa merger policy. What is the time frame to implement an integration? Is negotiations required? Can usapa just impose their idea of fair on another pilots group? How many arbitrators are used? Does usapa merger policy require arbitration?

Hint!

They don't have one. usapa has a single sentence that is an objective.

ALPA mergey policy is 26 pages long. A/M merger policy is a couple pages. usapa is a single sentence.

ALPA may be gone but the policy still lives on in the T/A. The only way to change that is for usapa to get the company to agree to modify the T/A. What do you think the chances of that are given the judge did not give the company immunity?

What do you think usapa's merger sentence is going to be worth in a merger with APA?

How do you breath with your head stuck up in that dark place?

You make some good points, worthy of thought and consideration and then end your post with an uncalled for derogatory comment.

For the sake of moving the discussion forward in a meaningful manner, may I suggest you (and everybody else on here) skip the "flame".

We need to talk... I need some stock picks.

Seriously, it's time to get in the game. Many of you are sitting back waiting on the NIC to happen with no plan B except to file a DFR. There is a list that will satisfy the courts and the needs of ALL the pilot group. It's not the NIC and it's not straight DOH either. Either a deal gets brokered or we stay buried in this mess. The paradigm at the airline has changed so drastically that it bares little resemblance to the PID. Crying in your beer or pitching fits won't solve this. It's time for reasonable people to be reasonable. There is no place left to hide.

Driver....

Reasonable people honor their committments. Reasonable people would recognize when they are dead wrong.

The west isn't crying in their beer or pitching fits. They are patiently waiting for this to play out.

The time for negotiating is long past. The east squandered that opportunity. Deal with it!

We concur, We will all deal with it, OUR LOA 93 attrition, and your attrition, thanx AMES, our committments! MUTATIS!

Hey idiot boy a DOH always harms someone.....but define "harm" for us please. The older guy retires first, the younger guy gets to stay.
YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTANS THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN HERE 25 YEARS
.Think about it dummy.

Do you ever start a post without calling people names?

Ummm..."..you just believe everything your...... tells you..."...? I'd guess that's a clear cut case of personal projection? 😉

Just so you know; anyone that's even capable of making such an assinine, blanket assumption has no business ever even addressing, much less assailing the intelligence of any other person.

I read all the importand documents. It's obvious that you don't. Get a clue.

If the last 7 years has told us anything it is that DOH and NIC is never ever going to work as they stand now. Both sides can either dig a deeper trench and continue to lob shells over no mans land for years to come or they can sit down and figure something out that will work for both.

The pilots I have spoke to about the situation on both sides of the battle east and west all agree that we need to find a middle ground that can get passed by both sides.

From what I have seen the direct polar opposite sides we see on this board are not an indicator of the majority of the group east or west. both sides seem to want to meet in the middle and figure it out, get a raise and move on to the AA thing or whatever else Doug has up his sleeve.

It appears that the USAPA straight DOH hardliners are in the miniority as are the AOL NIC hardliners. Though one west friend did say that he keeps those feelings to himself since many of his juniorish F/O's would start an argument over the subject and he is tired of hearing it. But if given the chance to vote yes on a middle of the road agreement that put it behind us he would.

On the east side we don't seem to have that issue since most seem to agree that as long as NIC is tossed they can live with something that addresses both sides fears and protects both sides interests.

The question is can we get the hardliners to shut up and quit suing long enough to actually try to find something that will work? Probably not.....so that leaves the AA thing as the most logical point of exit to this mess.

Dream on. I know not ONE AWA pilot willing to meet you half way.

Well you don't live under "ALPA MERGER POLICY" , it lives on? SEPERATE RATIFICATION?, No it doesn't you see ALPA is "GONE" no one to defend argue, or justify their "BARGAINING PROPASAL" an internal labor dispute, subject to the RLA, very unique in it's own right as judge SILVER pointed out!
