The east pilots could have survived with a largely intact seniority list and regrouped with sufficient strength to avoid a merger, but for your infantile grasp of reality and willingness to follow anyone that yells at you what you want to hear.

The result? You painted yourselves into a position where you gave away what others worked to build, treating it like Monopoly money. And now, in stupidity redux, you come back again asking folks to explain it to you so you can drag out some tired deflection of blame - management, ALPA, West, black helicopters, bad mexican food - you name it, the east will find a way to try and blame YOUR own stupidity on someone else.
