Don't you pay attention or just shoot from the hip, he does not work at our outfit for the last time. Think he mentioned he had a relative here.

So Claxon is just talking out of his *ss and has no direct knowledge of anything.

In the Matter of the Seniority Integration Arbitration
Between
THE PILOTS OF NORTHWEST AIRLINES, INC.
and
THE PILOTS OF DELTA AIR LINES, INC.

Oh! Gee! Another arbitration! Aw nuts then! Well...There's clearly no recourse for me now. I guess I'd best immediately discard all semblance of a moral code, see a surgeon about removing my spine of course, then have myself lobotomized, after which I can properly bow, scrape and grovel in awe!...as some show such admirable and easy facility with. 😉

Just so I'm sure I have this right; are you honestly trying to tell me that a 56 year old pilot with 17 years of unbroken company service, is supposedly trying to "steal" ANYTHING from the 35 year old, who was still on probation and barely out of indoc and initial, if even that? You can't possibly be even the least bit serious here...Can you?....Really? If so, then I simply can't honestly imagine or even begin to at all (or in any possible way EVER) comprehend such a mindset....Period! I think we're done here.

As I've previously observed...Nic and Wake did you folks a tremendous disservice by way of expections.

Did the neutral arbitrator position the 56 year old below the 35 year old?

Did the 35 year old do anything to advance himself relative to the 56 year old?

Did the 56 year old then throw a temper tantrum when he found out the 35 year old made more money, had better career protection, and was placed above the 56 year old...and what exactly did the 56 year old then do?

I will tell you....he stripped the 35 year old of his union representation in an attempt to steal the 35 year olds job.

Yes, the 56 year old is trying to steal something that is not his.

You don't need another lobotomy.

Yes, the 56 year old is trying to steal something that is not his.

I don't think a west new hire was making more than a guy at TOS F/O on the east, now was he? And the last few years have shown the perceived superior job prospects were false.

1) I couldn't possibly care any less than I do what some deranged arbitration produced, nor would I, in my worst nightmares, EVER advance a product of whimsical arbitration as being ANY personal, "moral justification" ...EVER....Period!

2) In your mind, apparently yes = The kid actually showed up for indoc/etc 😉 Such a Herculean feat and demonstrated sacrifice and devotion to duty should certainly and always, outweigh the actual 17 years of service of anyone else, anywhere. Doesn't that go without saying? 😉

3) That's complete and utter BS...and utterly contemptible.

As noted above. We're done here.

True, that a probationary West pilot would make less money at the time. Point taken.

False, that the last few years have shown anything regarding career protection. The AWA pilot had greater job security than the east pilot, and the last few years do nothing but support any argument otherwise.

BTW nic, you were right the other day about something. The east was the first to file a SLI suit, I forgot about the east ALPA suit.

It most certainly does, you just refuse to see or acknowledge it.

Well before we are done...could you answere one question?

What gives the 56 year old the right to another persons job? His LOS at a prior company? His age? What?

If he takes from someone else that is stealing. He took away the other pilots union representation, he wants to take a position at LCC that is not his to have. Stealing another's position,,,no other word for it!!

BTW nic, you were right the other day about something. The east was the first to file a SLI suit, I forgot about the east ALPA suit.
Yeah, but I forgot about the company suing in North Carolina....so the real tally is..

usapa= 3 lawsuits (all dismissed with prejudice) and a gaggle of frivolous grievances

LCC= 2 lawsuits one win..one loss.

AOL/West= 1 lawsuit....(but forced to endure the rest of the BS)....guilty "jury verdict" but dismissed by 9th.

His LOS at a prior company?

What are you?...Some kind of deranged refugee from Pol Pot's Khmers, with their fantasy of starting the world all over at "the year Zero"?

Run that hopeless horse crap by the APA folks at your very first opportunity. Explain to them that they no longer work for American, but all are indeed, newly born into a brand new entity. After they pull their jaws off the floor sufficently to resume speaking; be certain to explain that you "saved" them all, that they should be happy just to have a job, and..of course...that any one of you west folks is instantly worth a 17 year "seniority" advancement over them. DO be sure to get back to us all afterwards, and tell us just how well such hopelessly insane BS is received by them. 😉

How does the performance of a company post merger, and/or the allocation of the company's assets prove anything about the job security of a pilot who would have been on the street in very tough economic times minus the merger.

The only thing we have learned...well, more specifically, you have learned, is what the AWA people were told prior to the merger...without this merger Airways was going to liquidate...there was nothing else there...all the furniture had been burnt...AWA was making Airways payroll to keep it going til the merger. The 56 year old...the 59 year old..the 40 year old furloughed Airways pilot...767one...all, had zero job security minus the merger.

It ain't going to happen that way...

What is going to happen is the APA list and the Nic will be combined in a "fair and equitable" manner.

How about this east...you go over to the APA and tell the 27 year AMR 777 captain who has been flying it for the last 15 years that since you got hired in the year before him in 1984 and were an f28 captain back in the day that he is just going to have to step aside because you got him by 6 months.

He is going to turn to you and say ...not only are you junior to me...you are junior to most the AMR guys junior to me. oh, and guess what...he is only 52 and does not give a damn hold old you are.
