OCT/NOV 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

I don't believe that Parker totally rejected the USAPA DOH list. Due to the timing, he accepted the NIC, only because ALPA was still on the property. When USAPA was voted in and the DOH list was proposed, he, being a CEO saw his oppotunity to delay all negotiations and called a time out. It is all about management taking advantage of the stalemate in trying to merge the pilot's union.

That's the dumbest f-ing thing I've read.

Parker rejected USAPA's DOH crap outright and he accepted the Nic because it met all the prerequisites the company laid out. I have that letter if you'd like to read it.

And the delay comes from you, the east. Its been your MO and you've advertised it as such. USAPA is and always has been about delay.

So save your idiotic thoughts for another board.

Damn that was so f'ing stupid.

I'm afraid you will and we've all lost on that count. I wish you the best.
Turning to the legal system has really drug this out.
Thus the entire reason for final and binding arbitration. To avoid the legal system and all of it's delays and expenses.

If the east had only lived up to your word.

And by the east pilots fighting the Nicolau you handed him the opportunity.

If you look at the East demographic, absent the AWA merger, you would likely retire in the right seat anyway. Even using the Nicolau Award, you would have upgraded about the same time, if you chose to.

I disagree.....having guys leapfrog you by 14 yrs of seniority seals the deal that you will retire in the right seat.

You have spent most of your 30+ yrs in the left seat, it has a tendency to put you out of touch with your collegues.

Actually I have great empathy for my colleagues, but since I first saw Lee Seeham in action at a USAPA road show, I felt you would simply be chasing windmills by jumping on his bandwagon. And I felt like throwing out ALPA simply to negate the Nicolau Award was not the right thing to do.

So we'll have to continue to agree to disagree.

Safe travels across the big ocean....

True f-ing denial and a disgusting level of wishful thinking.

I do enjoy watching the nut-job easties fight one of their own, rational easties.

The problem being that you want to change the rule AFTER you played the game.

Beside even if we used the new rules. there is nothing that says Nicolau would have used a different method. All it says is the LOS will be considered. Nicolau considered LOS but did not give it the value that you place on your LOS.

As far as wye river. Why is it the east pilots begging to negotiate if all the risk is on our side. Don't you think that if we were worried or thought that we were losing that the west would be knocking on the door to make a deal? Judge Silver told you that all the risk is on usapa's side if you use something other than the Nicolau.

Dear Patrick,

[background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]Please urge USAPA to bargain the best CBA it can with US Airways, then please put the Nicolau Award in Section 22 unaltered..[/background]

Your Dear Friend, Marty

M2C, we are not fighting, simply having a lively discussion.

Except for Claxon, who I believe has serious and real emotional issues, the rest of the nut-jobs are really great guys.

Although they probably see me as far from rational.

My apologies, you have always had empathy for your collegues......it's been frustrating from my point of view, as I am sure it has been for you. We each have a different impact from the NIC.

Take care,

That may work for you, my friend, but not for the rest of us. It's the "if not" that doesn't work. That puts many of us retiring from the right seat.

So everyone should be denied a vote and contract improvements until you're securely in the seat you feel entitled to? Do you grasp the concept of DFR?
