You are incredibly dense! Or, you must be an impostor. Certainly anyone who cannot follow a few simple lines of a post without totally missing the point (windfall) cannot possibly pass an ATP written or even an interview for McDonalds.

I'm sure there's tax-payer assisted help out there for your lack of communication skills. Meantime, perhaps a well-supervised group home would be best for you.

There is no windfall in the Nic for the West. Now the east, that is another story completely.
 
While all you east losers are gloating over the latest vacancy bid, I would like to remind you not to count your chickens before they hatch.....

Oh, and I think you should send thank you letters to the 364 east pilots retiring over the next 2 years who you screwed out of a couple hundred thousand to take with them.

I guess they are okay with that, but I am really thinking those 500 or so east votes that did not want uscaba on the property came from somewhere!
 
I would get a lot further on a better pay scale, but thanks to you scabs that ain't going to happen.

So, what I am going to do is call this younger captain who has his Christmas trip on the trade board, and offer to fly it for him so he can have Christmas morning off with his young kids.

Just my crazy way of moving on and flipping off you east scabs.

Let's keep it basic and real here:

What can you curently bid or hold in PHX? Now then; what could your insanely inflated nic number allow you to hold out east? How many more years worked than yourself does the person placed just below you on the nic obscenity have? Are you truly that "special" a person that you somehow, magically "deserve" to be ahead of that person? If so; what, in your honest estimation, makes you all that "special" and "deserving"? If the only answer you can give here is some petulant variation on "But, but..St. Nic thought I'm cute!"...we've nothing more to discuss.

You want personally undeserved, insanely and artifically enhanced advancement over others in the same class and craft who've worked far longer than yourself...period! It's really just that simple.

The point is there is no windfall in the Nic. Judging what a West pilot can hold in a combined LCC has absolutely no merit compared to a stand alone east vs. west.

Any human being that's a member of the same class and craft, and honestly feels themselves magically entitled to usurp the more years worked of others, to my mind, has absolutely no merit...or are you suggesting that the west people are all infused with personal "merit" of some unknown, unmeasurable and invisible nature that somehow entitles them? 😉
 
You guys need to get a life outside of airlineforums.com. I just checked in on you for the first time in over a year. You are all saying the exact same things you were saying to each other 7 years ago when all this started. Grow up!

That is a nice gesture you are making for the guy with young children.
The inequity of the Nic is bare boned with this latest bid. The month the first age 60 retirements occur, we see where the attrition actually existed. The entire process was merely put off 5 years. It starts now. It is readily apparent the wisdom of Parker from as business standpoint to link up with the USAirways operation. PHX is stagnant, and the East resumes the growth and revenue Parker wisely saw. It was a life preserver for his operation.
