Of course I think its wrong but you all need to understand that we paided a dear price for being Whistleblowers. I said no way & I did the right thing . I want no harm no foul for all of you. I paid dearly. As far as Teddy's message, I was referring to her giving praise to LGA and BOS, who both could have done the right thing, but did not.

Yep, you sure did pay the price. Remember when you had integrity?

Lets see, I'll list all the charges you lodged against her that she was found guilty of....

Oh wait....there were NONE!

And Andy, that really was pathetic. Grow a spine and stop spouting what you think
MIGHT be popular at the moment

Its hard when the board that was hearing the charges were bias! They had their minds made up way before she entered the room.
The meeting was over before it started. It was easier for AFA International to dismiss the charges then have a to admit LA was wrong and allowing her to do it.

Remember LA resigned ... she knew she was in the wrong. Otherwise why wouldn't she have finished out her term?
But again, we all have our own opinion on what happen.

The present LEC flying trips is commendable. He can meet with his members on a one on one basis. The F/A then have him face to face to tell him issues. Being closed in on an off property office does not allow him the exposure he and his membership needs. Walking the airports with his fellow brothers and sister, whether working flights or not is very important. How come this crap always comes on these threads before an election?

I do not enjoy the Crap either but full disclosure is what has to happen LOOK at the Contract we are working under . We were sold a bag of goods and everyone suffers . If you do not want to know the Truth that is your choice .All we want is the information anyone in office is held to a higher standard

Sounds like the beginnings of a personal attack...I fail to see how any of my posting here constitute my spouting...I made some calls and posted what I found out. You can pick on me all you want it will not change the fact that it’s only going to get worse around here.

Folks haven’t even begun to grasp how the company’s changes to the vacation matrix will hurt them and how it will affect the loss of the secondary lines this summer. If John want to fly trips let him, who cares? Is the work not getting done? Anyone can stop in the office and look at the budget and see what he is being paid, if they have a problem with that, then they should run for office. I am not running again and could care less. My belief is it’s the end of unionism…not because of how the company treats us, but how we treat each other. I’ve had enough of this thread…have a good day and fly safe.

"My belief is it’s the end of unionism…not because of how the company treats us, but how we treat each other."

Andy,
Now that is a sad but true statement. If we don't come together on some level this is not going have have a nice ending. Well put.

I have to agree with you on this Andy.
Like I said before...I think we all want the best for PHL. Its time us to unite as one and stand strong together!

Let there be Peace and Pride

My belief is it’s the end of unionism…not because of how the company treats us, but how we treat each other.

When the employees loose their integrity. When they allow lazy presidents to blur the lines between union and company, disabling the very process that gives a union and themselves honor, allowing a company to pick and choose whom they wish to reward or punish (LA getting full sick "fly-back" for a holiday month - did anyone else get that, uh, bonus?).

The pilots are going through what the FAs should be doing. Enough is enough. Quit electing people just because they are "nice guys". Pretty much everyone is a "nice guy". Time to elect a smart person with a fire in their bellies, who, first, always puts FAs first. Then you will get back first your integrity, then your union. Demand transparency.

He can go to the airport and do the same thing. Think how many quality one-on-one meetings he could have had with people over the four day period of that one BRU trip.

Being based in CLT, I do not have a dog in this fight. However with PHL having the most roll call votes the PHL LEC does somewhat have the power to control our lives. In my opinion if someone is being paid 105 hours from AFA thats a full month of pay. I don't think anyone would scream about them flying a 2 day on a weekend once or even twice a month. That time should not be paid on top of their AFA pay. If they want to leave the office to fly then the FPL paid by the local budget should reflect that.

From reading this thread I don't believe flying one leg to Europe and spending two days on a layover and one leg back is really getting out there to know what we are dealing with on a daily basis. Why isn't he picking up a butt ugly 737-300 4 day?

VERY good question Fly. If you REALLY wanna know how it is on the line and speak with the members why not do a jacked up 4day trip on domestic? Hmmmmm. 🙄

I hate to say it.. but I told ya so!

Was I the only person at USAir that received JM's monthly "newsletter", before he was LECP? I seem to remember reading it every month (possibly more frequently than that at times!) for the better part of 5 years.....

Now, that said, does anyone remember how he referred to our Union? Let's just say it was not pretty. He made a joke of the ENTIRE association, from the top down. This was not just hatred and venom towards an MEC, an LEC, or a specific AFA official, this was pure hatred for the entire organization. Repeatedly. In just about *EVERY* newsletter. Now, whether you agree with his (former?) opinions or not, whether you like the AFA or not, does it seem smart to vote this man in as LECP of USAir's largest domicile? Gimme a break! Do you think he is not sitting in his chair laughing at each and every one of us? Please... I would be laughing too!!

A few questions...

*Do you think it is odd that he kept us so well informed before he was in the AFA, and we hardly receive an LEC newsline now? I mean, I think that double- dippin' LA sent us more correspondence than JM, even if it was just the MEC E-lines pasted and re-sent (Geeeeez, how pathetic...)

*Are you surprised that someone with so much hatred for the AFA doesn't CARE if he flew ETB, on top of his 105? Get real! Joke's on us, people!

We were snowed, 100% Let's not let it happen again.

*Do you think that maybe, just maybe, he ran for LECP just to make a mockery of us, and show that someone who chastised the AFA and all that it stood for, could slide right into the LECP's chair? Laughable!

One more thing to get off of my chest, then I'll zip it....

I still find it incredibly unfortunate that people did not see thru the TG/LA debacle enough to realize that TG had one he!! of a passion for the FA's in PHL! Call her crazy (you would be too if u had to sit and watch LA do what she did), but she could represent the he!! out of a FA, and she knows the contract like the back of her hand. Honest and fair. If you were in the wrong, she had no problem telling you that either, but would equally represent you. Say what you will, if we had her knowledge, her experience, her "know- how", and her positive relationship with PHL management in that office now, we would be singin' a different tune. We lost out BIG TIME.

Now, let's hope that people are paying attention to the upcoming elections (yah, right), and that we get someone in there who actually has a passion for the job, and a clear vision of what the job should and should not entail (uh, no ETB's above 105 int'l pay; you should be busy enough with ~3000 FA's, duh.. we have to tell you that??? ).

I hope, at least, with the majority of the PIT people here for this election, they are paying attention to this as well, and not just worried about how many of them can cram onto the next Southwest flight home......

Peace.....
