I don't want to make accusations, start or flame rumors BUT WHY can't this 105-108 question be answered here? Now if he asked to receive 105 in the past and was told no and STILL is doing it anyway we have a problem? I just love how Andy mentioned it and Pittbull questioned it only for this thread to go virtually SILENT. Hey supporters....have YOU called and got your answer straight from JM or GJ who should know? I'll also add again that flying to Europe (with cell phone and laptop or not) is NOT out there meeting the membership. Fly a domestic 4day in and out of the base and then talk to me. Coming from a reserve point of view his being in Europe does NOTHING for the membership.

Just found out folks...that MCCorkey was given permission to exceed his line to 108 by the company as they are treating him like a "deployed f/a"...

Did anyone ever hear of this????? The MEC never did. You guys need to file a grievance against the company and it needs to be an MEC Grievance filed by the grievance Chair. PHL f/as should demand this and it should stop.

Vote this guy out. He's been bought and paid for by the company. Cindi is no full, and that is why John will never help you guys out. Once you accept this kind of payment from the company, your done...and the company knows they've crippled you.

Vote him out.

Pose the question to the guy and he should tell you that the company approved this. They approved it because either the MECP or McCorkey or both worked a method out so John could get the cash.

YOu guys are nutts if you let his go by.

Vote him out.

Throw a dart out there and pick anyone but these losers. Anyone is better than the devil you now know.

The MEC Members didn't even know about this issue. Its underminded. John will do anything now to stay in office, once he's reelected...he will do what he pleases, take what he wants, and basically tell all of you to go in your corners like good boys and girls and shutt up!

You cant be disciplined for doing union work on company property.

And he is laughing at us all the way to the bank.... Nothing but nonstop hatred for the AFA organization every newsletter, for YEARS, and the membership votes him in..... I have to say, good for him..... He played the stewardesses like a fiddle......

Guess we have new business to introduce at the next meeting?

Where is Ilovetofly? Comments?

Defended who? I made sure I was at every meeting to recall LA. I promoted TG because I thought she would be a great asset for the local.

Re-check your facts, and get back to me.

Funny how history repeats itself.
Look back at the post's...ME was doing the same thing as LA was, and JM is. You defended him! Anyone using a Union position for monetary gain should be out! I just recall you justifying why a certain RSV Rep was not wrong...when he was doing the same thing.

Yup, sure was me, and I still feel the same way I felt about that issue back then. He was a reserve chair, not the LECP, and I researched his situation and felt differently than you and felt he was unjustly accused. ME worked his @zz off for the reserves, and I don't feel that he stole a thing. He was stirrin' things up for LA, and she did not like that she was being exposed. Believe it. It's in the past, and over.

LA and JM were (are) the LECP, collecting 105 FPL, and should treat the position as a full time job, and that's that. We are being taken for a ride.

You better get your facts right on this one Imissthealaddintrays!

He's not about the funds. He did not pay himself, Laura did. Michael was an appointed rep, and Laura paid him, just as she did herself.

Michael only was paid what he could hold. That's a fact. With regard to ETB, he's not about that, and he said if he was ever given another opportunity he would never fly more than what he could hold.

There's nothing wrong with flying ETB, but if you are a rep receiving FULL flight pay loss, and I mean FULL flight pay loss from either the contractual company alloted AFA money or dues $$, flying ETB once a month or once every 2-3 months can be tolerated as long as your time in the office is 4-5 days a week to justify the full flight pay loss received from unin dues $$. Period.

The union work is intense, and if you are going to keep your eye on the ball, stay vigilant, its not flying around the system with less time in the office.

This is why there are no major improvements,...john is just chasing the waging tail of the dog while his appointees keep calm the troops.

Boy wonder McCorkey is not entitled to 108 hours international. From what my understanding is of this issue (that is hitting the fan now iwth the company) is that someone approached the company to give McCorkey 108 since he "supposedly" was to be in the office daily".

Well, the company approved this monthly pay out to McCorkey and said the (company) would treat it like he is a "deployed flight attendant".

My question is this??? Who is he deployed for? Company or union? If its the union, why is the company involved making alterations in contractual language to suit McCorkey's financial needs???

What's up with this folks? If the company does not "cease and dissist", immediately, take care of the situation yourselves and ensure you do not reelect this bum.

Show the company they can not give special treatment to union reps for any reason by violating the contract. If this does not cease,

then you folks need to approach the MEC for an MEC grievance against the company for making a special provision for a a f/a to supercede contractual language to obtain an advantage over his peers as a union representative.[/b]

How many hours FPL was ME getting back then? Mmm Hmm?!?!?
What the he!! does that have to do with what is going on today? Still livin' in the past? Would it be more prudent to research the current issue at hand, or re-hash a "lynching" that transpired a good while back? Infighting and placing blame on past practices will not serve us well. My last words on the ME issue: he was "hanged" by some bitter reserves, upset with the new LTO system, and were jealous because he was making more than they were. They had nowhere to channel their frustration, so instead they focused on the "he got more than me... NO FAIR!!!!!" mentality. Did he though? Who ultimately won? Certainly not the reserves!! Funny, though, no one stepped up to fill ME's position, or even knew what it entailed. Maybe they would've found that he was not overpaid at all. Whatever your personal feelings are towards ME, he did a he!! of a job for the reserves. LA was the problem, and we addressed that. Let it go. 🙄

And I believe Pitbull has addressed your well thought out questions in some previous posts.

Peace....

Guess we need to make some calls /e mails tomorrow. This is unbelievable.

Not sure, but if he was "red circled" in 2005 as a RSV, it would be 105 if he was in the office 4-5 days a week. My understanding is that Laura paid him 5 hours a day for the hours he was in the office, only. No more, no less.

Keep in mind at the time the SEC/TREAS would not come in the office because of her beef with Laura, and Laura mostly stayed home and worked (as she called it her home office BS). That left only Terry Graf and Michael Elias to run the entire union local. One person had to be in the office daily and usually that was michael..all day long and handling the calls with supervisors himself.

My understanding, he did a damn good job, was loyal to the group and had the passion for the job.

He feared no one, and you have to admire that for a guy who had no elected position.

Folks, look for the loyalist to the group. Those who will be transparent and keep you informed, be there always when needed and follow through with all issues.

Get a ticket together and get the existing bums out! Regadless of the VP AND CURRENT SEC/TREAS. IF THEY KNOW THIS IS GOING ON, THEN THEY ARE ALL CULPABLE AND MENTALLY CORRUPTED.

Why does everyone jump at the hint of pure speculation...Call the dude yourself and ASK...That's all you need to do.
