PHL LECP double dipping just like predecessor?

Here's the real issue. If the company has decided to circumvent the contract provision and give this guy "deployed f/a" status, then there is NO deployed f/a for the company that is permitted on ETB.

He can't have it both ways. Vote this guy OUT! He is planning just on the International vote for reelection, because that's his bread and butter. He expects to win...prove him wrong!
 
I have been informed that JM was allowed to collect 108 hours FPL, per CS, because of the size of his membership, and the fact that he is quite busy with the day to day runnings of LEC70. Apparently, management is able to able to decide this arbitrarily, regardless of what the contract states is allowed. The PHL base is large, has its share of issues, and is becoming larger with the PIT transfers. Hmmm...... fishy...

If in fact , he is so busy, how is he able to fly three (3) Transatlantic ETB trips over the month of December, especially when the staffing in PHL fell apart, and reserves were being assigned, reassigned,and rereassigned? Rest interrupted? Refusal to fly? Mayhem!


And, if the ETB is "first come- first serve," is he simply lucky enough to be clicking on these European trips, or are they being sent to him by someone? Does that indeed constitute a conflict of interest? These are questions we need to ask ourselves. This is an ethical issue, and we are, once again, being taken for a ride.

What I would do as a f/a to fix this company good for violating the contract to permit this...I would over fly, receive the discipline, file a griveance and take it to arbitration. Cindi simone will have to sit befoe the arbitrator and explain WHY she is giving permission to another f/a who happens to be a union rep.

This is major! Call these folks out! No line f/a can do this and no union rep has a special entitlement.

That sounds good in theory but our f/as are not disciplined for overflying. They get an overflying letter which they just laugh at and toss in the trash. When we asked a supervisor in PHL why they aren't putting a stop to it, they said that because everytime they try to, the union comes charging in and won't let them do anything. When we asked MF about it, he said the f/as are being "discipline". Well, I'm sorry but giving a letter does absolutely nothing but waste trees. Our union is permitting this to happen as much as the company is! So who can we go to in order to put a stop to this? BTW I am a RSV so I wouldn't be able to overfly even if I wanted to.

This is just a shame. Sad state of affairs. Now, the company let's the LECP collect 108 which he is not contractually entitled to. Real sad state of affairs there at USAirways.

The only thing to do to rectify this issue is reelect a new group in office. Show this company this will not be tolerated. If you dont reelect someone else, McCorkey gets the seat for another 3 years and will rake you over the coals using up your dues $$. He has no care and is trying to take all the fpl from the PIT base when it closes so he can line his pockets with more gadgets and cash.

Take control of your union and organize yourselves to get these people out. There are good people there, some are committee people, some have been there in the past that are really good decentfolks that fully care and understand the issues.

You know the LECP has been given something from the company that no one else gets, how can he represent the f/as to the company. He can't cross the company because they will pull this perk. All you have to do is look at MCCork and you just have to know he has some serious psych issues.

I know I'm going to get hammered for this but 108 hrs for that job sounds a little thin to me for the base he is representing. But you decide.

I think all reserves should be guaranteed 85 hours a month..... that doesn't make it a reality!! Contractually, we only get 73 hours.

CONTRACTUALLY, JM should only get 105 (not 108) AND only if he were "red circle" or grandfathered into the 105 option when the options were taken away.

It is my understanding that he was NOT grandfathered into that option. Therefore, he should only be getting 85 hours of FPL.

Unfair for a base this size?? Maybe, but it is CONTRACTUAL!!!!!

If you or anybody else doesn't like it......get it changed in the next contract.

You know exactly what we are talking about....the LECP is collecting union funds above his line that he could hold...That's about 23 hours plus International , in addition, ETB...

You may want to check your facts regarding the alledged bribe which bother way is irrevelent to the current issue at hand.

No. because it was sanctioned by the company..Simone. What the MEC should do is file a grievance, but the MECP has no balls to do it.

So, IMO the fa/s in PHL have no choice but to take care of business by spreading the word in PHL and ensure he does not get reelected.

They need to put a group together to run and win.
